That is truly an amazing demonstration. I never thought I would ever see an actual monopole magnet in my lifetime, not to mention the means by which one can be constructed. I have an idea how I could apply this concept in a revolutionary motor design, and my question is, "Does the Rodin coil, in producing a monopole magnetic field, use less electrical energy than an equivalently-sized conventional coil that produces a dipole magnetic field? And if so, how much less do you believe it is?"
@vidbid1 Yes. "The Rodin Coil" uses approx. 90% less copper, air core (significant weight reduction), and focuses the fields in the center (Exp. 4 amps into the coil = 290 amps out of the center)... FluxThruster(dot)
@theUMMCorg Thank you for that very informative answer. The other question that I have is, "Can you tell me if a Rodin coil produces a counter EMF spike like a conventional coil does when an applied voltage to it is shut off?
I want to see this North/South detector actually showing that it can detect a South pole. He only shows the North pole detection, but he never demonstrates that the detector is not broken. My best bet is that this detector does not work.
I was hoping Rodin would take a permanent magnet, prove that he's actually holding a permanent magnetic dipole (easy enough) and then use it to prove that he created a magnetic monopole without cutting the film instead of using that weird detector thingy with the light on it.
marko why do you play with people we both know that the spinning magnetism needs to be on the upside 90°from the face of your coil spinning tords gravity steve1780@live.com
@kmarinas86 a halbach array is not a monopole, it has a north and south pole, they are both just on the same face of the array ... rub two fridge magnets together and you'll see what i mean
I wonder if the monopole force, can be re introduced into a second coil. Or picked up by the original coil & naturally amplified?[ re fed ] The opposing force should appear, by the movement of the amplified mono[ first force fed into coil]???The proper pole, if magnified would be a good start, as long as there are'nt any discharge points. This thing would have to be suspended in air by something.[ I still can't connect a second skin, to another, w/ the stagger, [almost ] I'm still drawing!
a gentleman on youtube has tested his generator on a crt screen, the distortion to the screen is CLEARLY one sided, and in my opinion MONOPOLE in nature, the starship coil was somthing else altogether
wtf? mono pole? that is only the N end??? a mag. field flows from S to N so were is the field comming from and were is it going?? wtf is this prof of string theory? Dr. M. Kaku and frnds need to investagate
There is no such thing as a macroscopic monopole for the reasons you yourself just cited.
It is an impossibility. He obviously doesn't know what a monopole is.
The drill bit has a po and neg (Cathode and Anode) but one end is thinly spread throughout the material. It wouldn't register on that peice of equipment.
For beginners, there is no such thing as 'Oersteds' law' [sic], secondly you failed to address my comment in any way! I never mentioned anything 'affecting' 'Oersteds'' law [sic].
it has one pole, by deffinition it IS a monopole magnet, weather you scream and cut yourself all night long it will not change that fact, and no, you can't magnetise one side of something using normal physics, normal physics doesn't include scrambled magnets, YOU ARE CHATTING BREEZE.
of course we know standard physics is clearly outdated, well, the clever ones know.
can your scrambled magnet theory explain what leedaskin was doing at coral castle?? does science work anymore?!?
If it is actually creating a Monopole Magent could you not setup one a standard ring of two sets of magnets like all the attempts at magnetic motors on youtube and make the ring passthrough the inside of a rodin coil then when the engine spins it should slowy increase in acceleration because the south pole will not be sucking the energy gained from the repulsion of the north pole.
You people claim to be doing important work. Important studies in physics and electronic when clearly you know NOTHING of physics!
This is exactly what you would get from and scrambled electromagnet. It's just an inefficient magnetic coil with ZERO applications and absolutely no 'unique' or special characteristics
I am amazed and I see so many things that are remarkable about the Rodin Coil.
However, I think something else may be to blame for your instrument showing a magnetic monopole.
Your drill bit is asymmetrical. Because of the groove on one end, the south pole may be spread out more than the north pole, causing less of a "pole signal", one which perhaps cannot be picked up by the measuring device.
You should use a perfectly symmetrical object and try again. That will convince me beyond doubt. :)
Yes. That it does. Butcan one exist in the for of a drill bit? Is this logically concievable?
In another video i saw of Rodin he even said this himself. He went back on this silly claim and said 'we have to be carefull throwing terms like 'monopole' around' - Yeh! Damn straight!
Think before you type.
Tell me what a monopole is in nature/the real world. Not just the definition of what it is. Tell me, can one exist in the form of a drill bit? On the macroscopic level?
This is not a Monopole. The North pole of the electro magnet is extremely small and super concentrated. The south pole is spread out horizontally across the rodin until it is so weak that the device can't measure it. There is a south pole on both the rodin and on the drill bit it radiates from the center out.
For decades, scientists have searched for magnetic monopoles--particles that, unlike traditional magnets, have just a north or south pole. This week in Science, two teams of condensed matter physicists independently report ..."
Pass the sensor down the whole length to show that the south pole wasn't just made at an odd spot. The pole can't be assumed at the end, such as if you rubbed the center section of the steel bit with an existing magnet to create a pole there.
Marko and Jaimie, I pray that a significant, critical mass of folks become aware of the power you have made available to mankind with the Rodin Coils
or the Flux Thruster Atom Pulser. Only if enough people become aware of your fundamental discoveries can the enmity and inertia of status quo be overcome.
I'm a big fan and I'm going to build Rodin coils all the time.
The South Pole is still there.
But the waves are flowing BETWEEN the atoms making up the measuring device.
In order for the Pole Finder to register a wave, it has to bounce OFF the probe of the measuring device.
But if the waves are so ordered and low that they flow between the atoms... then how is the device going to give you an accurate reading?
It's not.
Which will give you the False Impression that a monopole exists.
It doesn't. No such thing as a 1 sided coin.
You need a nanoscopic probe.

@ElectricGravity: The permanent magnet would attract to the coil if on, and it would obviously attract to the metal object being tested.

true, but the center of the metal is straight and the flow os electrons is still linear. so it shouldnt make much of a difference.
TheUFOeffect 2 years ago 2
Monopole? Do you even know what this means?
seansalvador1 2 years ago
It means that the magnet has ether a north or south "pole" instead of both like a normal magnet.

Reply to rascalwind:
I almost misunderstood what you were saying, but I see now what you're saying and I agree.
Marko should use a perfectly symmetrical object and try to see if there is no south pole on that object.
OR Marko should reverse directions and see if there is no north pole on the drill bit.
Either way, this kind of new demonstration will be more effective at convincing me.
RLore18 2 years ago
nobody has detected a southpole on anything using a rodin to my knowledge. i watch a lot of rodin coil videos.
