@Taydizmftw How much pressure do you use when you play? I had to really train my self on that when i started playing Contrabass trombone (very similar mouthpiece to a tuba! I even use tuba one as my spare :) )

You need to reduce pressure and practise the high notes with the seal on your lips, start out slow doing it how ever you can, and think about it, and see what is "bad" in your technique and work back up the register with" good" technique and it will all seem easier. Hope that makes sense!

also, make sure to open your teeth while playing. as a tuba player you should be able to fit 2-3 fingers in there while playing.

And for high notes... more air is all I can say.

if its low a natural its second valve and low a flat is first try playing regular b flar and then go down. you just have to loosen your amberature a little more than u do to play b flat

Like, from low Bb, play down to as low as you can go. And work on it everyday, that helps lip control and stregnth. Then after you get as low as maybe a low C under the low Bb, hen work on high. Go to as high as possilbe with good tone, and work up one more partial. Do it all open notes, go from Bb, F, Bb, D, F, Bb. Maybe even higher. Keep working!
