I must say though that it's kind of disturbing hearing that his sound is closer to Adams, considering he uses a POD, and a custom made guitar, and I use a diezel and a silverburst. Thou shalt not judge true sound on youtube video's alone :)

Definitely. Sound on youtube is no match for real sound. In my opinion the other guy isn't really that close in sound, though he is a great player. You nail it. And the answer is simple.  It's your rig. Adams tone isn't voodoo. It's a solid heavy guitar through a nice tube amp. I can get close with my 79 Custom Silverburst and my Dual Terror. A lot of it is the guitar. Any 70s Custom will do it as they are a solid unchambered aged piece of wood (colour doesn't matter).

@TheAPC91 Thanks man! Feedback is caused when an amplifier is at a high volume. You can get it with any amp as long as you have some kind of distortion, and can get it loud enough.

Of aallllll the times i've turned to your videos for help in figuring some of these damn Tool songs, I finally think i found one teeny tiny little part that i disagree with lol. In your video it's the riff in the alternate outro that starts at 6:02 , In my video i start it at 4:53 ... it's just a slightly different pattern with the hammer ons and pull offs.

Take it or leave it.. Your cover totally blows the pants off mine lol. And as always, Your tone is spot fucking on!
