i cant stand some people saying how easy it is to snowboard en then they think they can do everything on a board!! but i agree that going down a slope and hitting a slope with style and technique is harder so just take lessons like these people did,oh yea try to bend your knese more :)
i picked it up quickly and i honestly think skiing helps the most because u already have experience with the feeling of riding. Ive been skiing since i was 2 and a half and i finally started boarding when i was 14 so i really think it was skiing that helped...but i skate also which helps a little since snowboarding and skating are pretty different
@13Eminem1397 As they say in this clip.. 3 days is what it takes for you to "learn" to go down the hill..!! After that you just get better and better..!! AND like MIKE THE MAN says.. ALLWAYS get a instructor the first days...!!
@zonnic1 go down a red run and beeibng able to ride a snowboard well is 2 very different things.. We went off-piste and on red JUMPS and learned how to butter/switch riding and have way more board control..!!
This is after just 4½ hour of snowboard instruction from ESF guide in Les Arcs...
So I still think that a instrutcor for 2-4 hours is money WELL spent if you wanna learn and learn the correct way and KNOW the technique rather than just beeing ABLE to go down a red run..!!

i was wondering how long it takes till you can snowboarding on the blue track. I'll take this holdiday one lesson, maybe two.. but i don't know if you can snowboarding with one lesson and further try for yourself? I can surf, skateboarding and skiíng. So can maybe tell someone me that?
Man I learned to snowboard this season and I'm decent now. Watching you guys catch the heel edge and fall brings back memories of painful tailbones and wrists! But after falling so many times you naturally find yourself "improving" your fall to lessen the force by spreading out the force throughout the body.
lol death stopper love snowboarding like wacthing peps start learning started when i was 4 now im 15 learning how to do tricks how long have u been snowboarding since this vid
I think you have a decent shot about picking it up easier if you know how to move your body to get a reaction out of the board. The only thing is that it may not translate perfectly from a longboard and you can't just step off of it.

Hmm... it took me 2 days to learn to snowboard... maybe because I had skateboard experience? Well, whatever it was, it did me well :)

Sorry, this video isn't very helpful. The only
real thing that they share is to be prepare-
ed to fall and land on your butt a lot! No ways to help prevent that?

I have a question, since I longboard/skateboard, do you think I could pick up snowboarding easily?
Nice vid, btw.
redheadcs45 2 years ago
Thanks for the comment,
I think you have a decent shot about picking it up easier if you know how to move your body to get a reaction out of the board. The only thing is that it may not translate perfectly from a longboard and you can't just step off of it.
foregottensoul 2 years ago
@redheadcs45 Probably a little easier but the tricky part is not catching your edge the wrong way - so you still have that to overcome. good luck!
