You say there is a "process." The point is that this "process" is currently unconstitutional. Open the borders or amend the Constitution. These are the only options.

@jjrants allowing someone to wear something for religious reasons is an equal right for everyone, having christmas trees is not something thats individual as all the students have to look at them and dont have the right to represent their religion in a similar manner/display. the pledge of allegiance is also not an equal right , however if students were allowed to replace the word god with whatever they believe in " under no one, under jesus, under ahlla" it would be fair in my mind.

@88donja Actually they don't sue states for having English be their official language, they sued for having an "English Only" clause in their official language legislation. This clause requires all state agencies to act in English and in no other language while performing duties on the job unless it is a state of immediate emergency. That is what violates the constitution. You shouldn't just comment like that if you don't really know what you are talking about because you are completely wrong.

"Entered the U.S. illegally"? Art I, Sec 8 grants Congress control over naturalisation (i.e. citizenship), NOT migration. Since the federal government has no constitutionally-recognised authority to regulate human migration, all federal laws dealing with human migration are inherently unconstitutional. (It would take a constitutional amendment in order to make such regulations legal.) Thus, we must conclude that no one has EVER entered the U.S. illegally.

The U.S. Constitution does not grant the federal government any control over immigration or emigration. It only grants control over naturalisation. Therefore, you must either (A) amend the constitution or (B) abolish all federal regulations over immigration and emigration.
You say there is a "process." The point is that this "process" is currently unconstitutional. Open the borders or amend the Constitution. These are the only options.
