No, with the hair effects she'll just sit down. There's a knife effect in which you can kill anyone in the game (BUT the toriningen [pipi longstocking]). Anyway you should always try pressing 1 when you get a new effect. You really should get the bike effect too, it helps a lot.

Not sure if anyone anwsered you yet but.. enter is the action key, key 1 uses the effect you're "wearing", key 9 makes you wake up.
