I nearly crashed one day I was speeding... For my good, I was lucky and managed to save both car and me with nothing...

What fuels street racing is the power of the unknown, nothing else... I won't say it's good or bad, I do it and can't judge it... still... be careful out there folks...

And I you do want to race, a cage roll bar and some reinforcing will help.

i live in a big city a the nearest track is like 2-3 hours away for a 1/4 mile run full tracks r lightyears away im a street racer but i do safty first if u do run wit someone dont brake the speed limit 0-30 or 50-70 that was on him but get me a track i will buy lift time membership I love to race

I've met plenty of people who have been in car accidents not street racing just going fast and not died but on the other hand I ve met a lot more people who have died or have had family/friends killed by dumbass drunk drivers.

what they need to do is set up more tracks at more local place because people who want to race legally don't have tracks in there area. that way we promote safety and i bet you that it could take alot of kids out of street racing. my local track is almost an hour away. that just makes teens in the area more prone to street race.

wow i really love racing i really do, i do street race, i understand the danger, this video is truly sad, it never fun when shit like this happens, but people are in control of there own decisions, any thing could of happend, they could of got t boned by a drunk driver, you take risks on everything, even stepping out of the front door of your house, but this just tells me if i race i race alone in my car!!! i could not even imagine losing my babe to something like this!

I feel really bad for that mother. I had a very close friend that was killed when he hit a tree about 2 years ago. He wasn't even racing, just driving too fast. It's shocking how fast a life can be taken away and how much the community and families suffer after this sort of thing.

I own a modded 2004 Mustang Cobra but at least I have the decency to only use the power at the track or at least not put anyone else in danger.

i had also lost a great freind and brother....it was in his 72 trans am we were going 160 down a 2 lane road ( we were all drinking) and then we came up over this hill and had seen a car that was going 30 clipped it spun out went of road then hight a ditch and then flipped 5 or 6 times in air and then had laned upside down killed them both in the front seat...the only thing that i think had saved my life was that i was wereing a seat bluit..people say safty first it can help save yopur life

A lot of people don't realize that all street racing isnt stupid. It's teens like this that give it a bad reputation by racing in a area with obsticles to hit, innocent people to kill, Ect... You Don't race on city streets. The smarter way is racing on the highway late at night/early morning where the only people invloved are the people that want to be involoved! I gave up street racing long ago..it was fun at the moment, but theres other things you gotta think about when your doing it, especially if you have a family. Im not going to risk my life anymore so i can loose time to spend with my 5 month old son and his mother, 1 hour of racing is nothing to a life time with your family. If you want to race, take it to the track. Build your car while having another daily driver. Those 10 11 12 13 second passes are better then risking your life on streets

Very good video, but if someone illegal street racer sees it he thinks that "great video, I maybe crash, but it won't be so hard." From these videos you can see how good drivers are young. It isn't about youth, it is about skills and experiences and youth don't have it. Every young driver should go into the race school and try to handle everything instead of put money into the cars. Why do have extremely powerful car and can't drive it? However, almost every young driver don't think so.

Sucks. I've known people that had crashed because of racing, but never anyone who died. Thank God for that. I stopped street racing a couple of years ago, and decided to hit the track. I wouldn't go back to that lifestyle ever. Give me a track, and I'm fine. More people need to learn this, and actually do it.

yeah i use to be in the racing scene as well about 8 years ago and lost a friend my senior year in high school in 02. he was thrown from the car and then the car rolled over him. the track is a more controlled space and better to race there than on the streets. thanks for the post it means a lot.

It's rough. Seeing and or knowing of everything that happens to your friends with street racing. Something I would never trade to have again. I couldn't live with it again. I don't promote racing on the streets at all. It's not worth it, and nothing good comes from it in the long run. Sorry to hear about your friend. I know it's rough.
