  • what sucks with it? Anything with the functionality? the whole idea sounds great to me at least. And even tough you pretty much answered my question again i ask again just to be certain. The megamix function works on user patterns also right?

  • is it possible to create orignial beats on this thing because ive had this for 3 days and cant figure out how to use the damn drum machine

  • Yes. Select a blank user pattern. Hit record 3 times then play. Then you can use shift + the chicklet keys to select a sound then highlight the chicklets you want the sound to play on. Bass drums on the 1, 5, 9, 13. Snares on the 5s and 13s. HH on the 3, 7, 11, 15. I hope this helps.

Or you can just hit record then play and input the drums live.

  • @getupkid2137 thanks dude!

  • presets ....----....-------...-----

  • how you get more presets?

  • the megamix function does kinda suck on the 505, i never use it...

  • agreed.

  • Hey! What's the Megamix function? I have the 303 :P

  • You can mix individual parts from presets live. It works well enough. I hadn't had this machine for very long when I made this vid. If you spend a long time building up a good selection of patterns you can get some cool results with this function. I don't think it exists on the 303 though.

  • Bit late at night when you did that one maybe. Possibly bordering on Afghan Trance with a spot of disability - loved it.

  • it seems a F.S.O.L. track!

  • Megamix on presets? what is the interest? it really sucks...

  • you are some fag... state of you

  • not bad chap

  • that's pretty cool. You could be on echos. (on Boise State Radio)

  • Thanks, I think. I have no idea what that is.

  • It's just a cool nighttime radio show where they play a lot of weird and different music. Like 2:25 to the end.

  • is the mc 505 good for DNB?

  • oh hell no. You need the GX 2210 XV

  • What's DNB?

  • Drum 'n' Bass

  • Q: can u select a random preset and play along in real time?

  • Yes, absolutely. There are 7 instrument slots and one rhythm slot, you can mute each independently or assign different instruments to each while maintaining the pattern. Or as I am doing in the video above, you can select individual intruement patterns from different preset patterns and mix them together. You can then transpose the whole mix to whatever key you want to play in.
