To me, this is more like Death Metal than it is like thrash metal. Thrash metal at the time had those yelled vocals and this is definitely more of the screaming plus there are definitive" Death metal growls in this. Anyways I've heard the band call this thrash, speed and death metal. They're not really all THAT different.
Why is it that I feel like listening to this (and other Mr. Bungle songs) when I've got a good alcohol buzz (from Four loko).? I guess I'll never know.....
Isn't this considered more Thrash than Death. Reminds me of "D.R.I." or some heavy thrash/punk maybe "Total Chaos" ... idk maybe Death evolved from thrash?
@FrankyJFuckwit Recording a demo with this kind of quality was actually a multi-thousand-dollar proposition at the time this was made. I have heard demos before that make this sound like the equivalent of a 2010-era DTS HD Master Audio 7.1 track. And those ones were recorded much later than Raging Wrath, too.
@s0cietysreject Yes, but Death started releasing demos in 1984. Mr. Bungle released this demo in 1986. Possessed released their first demo in 1984 as well.
@grazierianphotos well if you want to get technical, they both sounded like the melvins. Fecal Matter (kurt's early band) formed in 85' and recorded in 86' - pretty much paralleling Mr. Bungle.
@KungFuRascals3 People who make Beiber comments on Bungle posts should have their asses kicked by Chuck Norris. Honestly, you don't like the kid, fine, but stop advertising for him genuis.
System of a down is pretty damn good, i must admit. Many people just dislike them because of the songs they always hear, but systems first album is raw as fuck and its a landmark album. But MR BUNGLE IS SICK!
@Rinaleightball1 I agree. SOAD have been influenced really much by Patton and other metal groups, just listen to "Sugar" and those amazing tempo changes. The band is awesome in their later records too, all the tempo changes and vocal harmonies in Mezmerize-album are awesome.
hey your the first person who has actually mentioned the accused i saw them guys at the tacoma world theater bad ass show more fun thanb an open casket funeal
You can hear a modern day medley of all the songs on "Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny" from Bungle's show in Minneapolis on the Sno-core tour. Its recorded really well too.
are you serious? the dude from faith no more had a death metal band? well....sort of a death metal band?

this sounds like death metal. it´s so crazy and it came out at the same time as classics like scream bloody gore or seven churches

@donibard This actually precedes Scream Bloody Gore, which is pretty mind-blowing.
