I just downloaded Cinematic Mod 10.90 and it has 45 parts. I've installed part 1 and can play it just fine looks great love it. But the music is the same. I want to know do I have to install ALL 45 parts or are they just optional features? There's no list or description of the parts simply the part and its setup.

It's a great mod, and I like the option of being able to use the vanilla character models. I can't get over the fact that it uses the Dark Knight soundtrack, though. Otherwise, it's a huge improvement over the vanilla HL2.

Sure they've got more details and have better textures but that doesn't generally mean that they are better. Some citizens and a few of the major characters like Alyx and Eli differs too much from their original counterpart. Granted Alyx doesn't look like much like an asian ladyboy hooker straight out of the dark alleys like in the previous incarnations anymore but still I don't appreciate the look they have at the moment.
