My father-in-law has a 36 three window and is in the process of restoration. The only thing he has changed is the motor. Its a 39 V8 in place of the original. He has been meticulous with his work. Stainless steel where ever he can obtain the part. It is fantastic and will never be a rod. He makes his own parts from stainless if it is not available. A REAL ARTIST!

Well he must be good to make his own parts! The only thing I would offer you is that using a engine from another year will effect the value. I assume he's building it for his own enjoyment and doesn't plan on selling.

These are a bit harder to chop than most due to the curve in the door. I can admire a nice hotrod but some cars should just be left alone.
