@goldwingdwarrior They're called Fisher Cats in New England, not sure why.

@TheSarlacPitt Probably because they can be mistaken for cats at a distance, act sort of like them, and often prey on fish in New England lakes.

Fisher cat? Why don't we just call it a fisher? WTF is a fisher cat? Should we start saying marten cat and stoat cat, too? Please advise.

@Masowai Around my parts they are fisher cats or just fishers work too. We even have a minor league baseball team called the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
