In my team they taught a different way to powerclean that involves us getting lower than when we started the powerclean then squating up and the agility ladders we changed them and raised them up and you can notice any mistake and it makes it harder to do and fall

that powerclean form is nasty...your not supposed to lift it up with ur arms, instead u rip it off the floor as explosively as possible, and pull the bar up as hard as you can shrugging it up with ur traps/ upper back...then dropping under it - way more powerfull than raising it with ur arms, plus that would put unecessary stress on ur shoulders
i agree with neostevenroth, this is supose to work your whole body not just ur legs lol, it's not a swinging movement, it's a raise up and roll of ur wrists, when u do that u work your chest too
you can be strong as hell but if you can't carry that weight than it wont help you. Get a big strong line man to do 3 pull ups. They will be throwing up a long trying too.
thats because maxes except for power clean dont involve pulling with your arms at all. bench, and incline, are pushing and squat is pushing with your legs. football teams dont max on pulling exercises.
the ladders do help when i am practicing we have agil days and we have to do the ladder and the coaches can see when we mess it up because the ladder will move...then we have to re do it

The demonstration of the power clean in this video is very good. Most young athletes do not sink the hips when the bar is raised past the waist line. What could have been stressed is the use of leg drive in the first part of the power clean. Too many young athletes want to get their arms involved when raising the bar off the floor.

He is teaching to power clean wrong. You dont pull with your arms, you never pull with your arms. When you pull, you lose power.
