  • Very interesting interview. Thank you for sharing. You can certainly see the family resemblence between Sitting Bull and his Great Grandson Ernie LaPointe. I have long had an interest in the stories of the Native American people and recently put a song I wrote on You Tube. Wounded Knee by Keith Beasley. It is my "small tribute" to all Native Americans. Thank you again. Peace.

  • So sad to hear that one of their own would side with the malicious military + their wiping out of (his own people, especially Sitting Bull leading his people; being hoodwinked by one of his own for the greed of one BEING to obtain a high position. HOW blinded this being was. To have such a magnificent people be killed + put on to reservations while the white man--my people did such crimes against humanity. These military were really doing this to a part of themselves; this is the sad truth.

  • Red Tomahawk, sittin-stubborn's cousin, shot him twice in the head & killed his son. His face is on buffalo-nickel of 100 yrs ago & on highway signs in south dakota or montana. Hump, crazy horse's best friend from youth, little-big-man & one bull were indian police under Red Tomahawk. Gall converted to christianity & was a lieutenant of indian police, sittin-stubborn's adopted son. Why single out One Bull.

Anyway, for sittin-stubborn & his oldest son: What came around, went around!

  • This is a very sad account that Sitting Bull's Great Grandson gives... I can't imagine a worse fate. It's very sad that the great Sitting Bull was betrayed by one of his own people...

  • @CosmicFork yes this is sad

  • Indians of all nations will be here long after everyone else is gone

  • @visionfirst1970 How do u predict that?

  • @gladefoam Great medicine man told me

  • @visionfirst1970 LOLLL

  • Respect.

  • from the Roman Empire through the Roman Catholic Empire all this violence and takeover, wars, and hostile takeover and greed can be traced through for thousands of years right back to greed that spread throoughout Europe by the Roman Catholic European Empire and the political system , I always have to ask why all of the indegenous free people of the western hemisphere had to give up their lands religion and their lives for this idea ..Did Jesus want this?,

  • @GrooveDoctor77 No.He said to do good,not evil.

  • I love native american men and woman's voices

  • My dear friend Floyd "Red Crow" Westerman used to tell me stories of his past and was a great songwriter. He was a great inspiration for me to seek the great spirits for answers to my questions on this sacred earth. We own so much to the native American tribes who suffered the most. Peace, love and happiness.

  • Ernie looks like my friend Robert Naranjo of the Pueblo people in New Mexico.

  • The waters, the sky the earth are all part of the living being. This is one of many living beings in the sky, as well as the places bewteen what we know.

  • I am not a native american but yet I have so much respect for great people like sitting bull. I like to go to arizona and walk north into the desert and wonder how this wonderful dry landscape once was when sitting bull and red cloud and native americans like them once romed it.

  • did sittig bull go to canada? or crazy horse?

  • @hillybilly1212 I think it was Sitting Bull who went to Canada before he surrendered to the U.S.

  • respect

  • Ernie here, he's the real deal. A true Lakhota and a true gentleman. I had the pleasure of getting to know this wise, warm, brilliant elder and I cannot wait to see him again when I head west for a visit! =D

  • some say it's just a part of it, you got to fulfil the book(bob marley), greed exists in all cultures, just as good does, (which one are you gonna practice) or are we all gonna sit in our self righteous hatred(fear) and condem everyone else. every time we point the finger at some one there is always 3 pointing back at yourself. spiritual enlightment starts by looking at ones self and accepting every person, place and thing as being exactly how it's supposed to be. godbless you all.

  • @Bandtrip50 HATRED is dangerous ..NOT people of different cultures !!.. seems you've bought the story hook line and sinker ....here's a clue ...Natives didn't need to learn english, they were self - sufficient for thousands of years without english !! ..try increasing your knowledge and your wisdom ..so you WONT support an evil system that allows such atrocities on a beautiful, passive, kind, intelligent & wise people such as the indigenous people of USA

  • request and pray ---every human every soul either good or bad ,angle or evil ,sinner, demon , god or devil every one want to live as a good humanbeing --please save

  • What full blooded indian would speak english? white man killed native's and destroyed there coulture . full blood native's where killed if they spoke there language and taught there kid's there coulture. English & Spanish is a white man's laguage

  • @midpopcorn

If Natives didn't learn to speak English how would they make it in the U.S.?

We can't change history it's too late. And now they are allowing even more strange cultures in which is so stupid.

Multiculturalism is dangerous and yet they continue to allow it. Of course this is meant to destroy

the United States which they are doing.

  • @Bandtrip50 . Wow, the amount of ignorance you display is blinding. You need to crawl back under whatever rock you came from. First of all, you bigot, Native Americans all learn how to speak English when they're children. Yet, it's vital that they retain their cultural history and heritage.

  • @consciousenigma

If you had eyes and a brain moron you would note that midpopcorn wrote the post.

Go back to your stinking hole and fart in it. Make yourself more comfortable.

  • @Bandtrip50 Natives allowed white culture in because they were not ignorant assholes. They were a free people who believed in freedom and acceptance, they were open minded to other religions. Multiculturalism is not dangerous, if we were all to believe one thing then that would be bad, very bad. It is not a question of Natives learning English, they did not need it. They invented sign language to speak with Non Natives. But the U.S. Government wanted a excuse to take their children.

  • Thank you for sharing your story! :)

  • the native american and irish have war in thier blood

  • Bad audio on this video, too bad.

  • You are also aware that the Spanish, and the English moved many tribes aroud for different reasons right. What happen to the Californios? Do some more research guys.

  • @bim971 Correct! The English became Americans, lied, and gradually created geneocide while the Spanish became Mexicans who opted for peace then, like most of Mexico's way, broke peace by treason and killed the true inheritors. Now Mexico is once again starving or killing out all the ones they dont want by using corruption through narcotics and traffiking as a foundation for power while America takes in millions of Mexican minimum wage slaves in exchange for their own citizens.

  • @MattyTheMole Like I said before read more into it.

  • @MattyTheMole

    Are you kidding?

The Spanish and the Mexicans are two different enities!

The Mexicans actually like to lie and say the Americans stole the southwest from them. Bullshit!

Mexicans stole the southwest from Spain! Who stole it from the Natives.

Get your damn story straight by learning what really happened.

Also you do know that Mexicans or Chicanos actually try to call Native American--MEXICAN INDIANS.

BIG LIES FROM THE MEXICAN SHITHEADS AS USUAL!

  • @Bandtrip50 Kidding? You just elaborated my own words into your own. Read carefully what I said which is Mexico is known for treason. Example, when the Apache's (who never recognized Spain's, Mexico's, or the United States bogus claims to the Southwest including Chiuaua and Sonora) signed a peace treaty with Mexico to stop all raiding on Mexican settlements they were double crossed which was the event that killed Geronimo's wife and children sending him into an obsession with hating Mexicans.

  • @MattyTheMole

WOW I never knew that!!!! I thought Mangas Coloradas went to Mexico on some sort of trading trip?

Which I thought was so ill advised as the Mexicans hated the Apaches with a passion.

I didn't know the Apache's signed a peace treaty with Mexico. I did read that when the Apache men

were in the Mexican village trading all of a sudden all the Mexicans started yelling all weird and frightened

    CONTINUED

  • @Bandtrip50

    part 2

the male Apaches Geronimo and Magus and the other Apache men! After the Apache males found their families murdered

Geronimo thought that the scream fest by the Mexicans was made so that the Apache males couldn't

    hear their families being massacred!

Thanks for all the information Matty!

    Appreciated.

  • @MattyTheMole

Thank you Matty! I was not aware of the Treaty between the Apache and Mexico.

Chicken sht what the Mexicans did to the Apaches. I always thought Mangas was naive and foolish

to have gone into Mexico with his band.

  • @Bandtrip50 MExicans this days are offspring of Native Indians (various Southern Tribes) And Spanish Conquistadores you idiot

  • The Mexicans have been trying to spread that fuking lie for years! Mexicans and Native Americans never got along. Mexicans even tried exterminating Apaches for this reason. "Proyecto para la guerra" was made into law by the Mexican government to destroys Apaches. The so-called Mexicans in the U.S. were actually not Mexicans at all! They were half-breed Natives/Spanish! So eat shit and die!

    Go back to Mexico!

  • @Bandtrip50 ur a clown!! a heijoekah!! quit messng with the poeple!!! Our aztec blood were the first to kill the Roman Catholics!! I hope you meet some nice ladie! a mexican ladie!! Teach how to summen the spirits on the day of the dead!! pichi puto!!!! I'm gonna ,arry your sister and were gonna get along..were gonna share all that I have!! and you'll gonna love me brother!!

  • @Bandtrip50 They also tried to do the same with the people of the Navajo Nation.

  • @MattyTheMole No Spaniards such as Columbus, Cortex, and Pizarro slaughtered millions of indigenous people of what is now called Mexico, Bahamas, and South America. There was no attempt for peace, just massacre, colonization, and finally extermination all for the wealth of Spain. Same thing that happened in Northern America at a later time.

  • @NWNative147 And today all those big empire hungry headhunters and thieves always like to call themselves " the most developed capitalist democracies" with all the wealth stolen and all their capitalism build on the back of the others that's really something and it's still going on this bloody fight for greedom but the time's slowly runin out ...huh american constitution huh that really makes ye laugh .....bloody fascists ....but what can ye do

  • @bawdynapa Yarp

  • @bim971

Were the Californios Spanish colonist offspring or progeny?

I saw some of them on TV years ago, they looked like White people. I mean not a brown skinned one

among them. They were having a photo get together at the time. Waving and smiling!

All of them were very old seniors. Who are the Californios? Can anyone explain this to me.

Very curious! I had not been able to find anything on them on line? Maybe there is something today?

  • Why does he look like he is wearing orange scrubs? Is the great grandson of sitting bull in prison?

  • @MattyTheMole

how strongly do you believe in your words , comments and thoughts? i take them as a threat. do you still stand behind them mr mole?

  • It is so great to hear the truth from the ancestors of our native Indians rather from

authors that have no relation to great American natives.

You were so lucky Ernie LaPointe to have knows who your people were.

My grandparents for reasons known only to them distanced their Native roots

from their progeny. And we from native American roots never knew who we were.

Luckily for us there are the archives.

  • @Bandtrip50 This is true. It is unfortunate reservations are failing to put out more authors with indigenous background to share true stories about Native Americans unlike all these sham authors and biographers who focus their points towards cause and effect on the united states especially without discrediting some sort of "American Hero" like General Sherman.

  • @MattyTheMole

You are aware of Chicano authors claim that Native Americans were Mexican Indians?

Geronimo and Mangas Coloradas must be turning in their graves! Both lost relatives and tribal members to Mexicans.

Mexicans who are not wanted in the U.S. for illegally entering, love to pretend that they are

relatives of Native Americans. Nothing can be further from the truth.

I hate the lies from all these phonies!

  • @Bandtrip50 Dude you must not know your history then. You are aware that this continent was all on chunk of land before the Europeans came right. That many tribes move more freely from one place to another and that some tribes exchanged things with one another. I bet that you are a white kid trying to prettend to be a native. Read more or do some more investigation boy.

  • @bim971

No white boy! I am the offspring of Mimbreno Apaches (I believe) since my grandparents would not even

tell me my ancestors were Native Americans. I had to find out from a relative that went into Silver City NM

and looked into the archives there! Imagine my grandparents would not tell me I was the ancestor

of Native Americans! I am sick over this because my sister and I never knew who the heck we were?

I only was told I had native blood. We found out we were Indians.

  • Much respect for this man, just a shame that sitting bull got treated as such...were i'm from the desendants of the real leaders are not even known ( only to those who look it up ) now they just vote for people who are the most popular, no skills, no one that can honestly vouch for them and tell of the qualities that they possesed from day 1 and be heard,i believe that no matter how hard you try you cannot be someone that you were not cut out to be, but the dominate society believes the opposite
