  • Too bad Theo Bos is a cheating peice of human waste. Remeber what he did to daryl impey?

  • I did mine in 14.4 sec and I'm only 3 years old.

  • @skateboarder585 wow your so funny, but your actually your 12, bored, and has internet

  • @skateboarder585 masturbation does not count......

  • what kind of bike was he riding?

  • @jubbs303 a white one

  • @jubbs303 a really expensive, brakeless, single speed track bike.

  • @brandeezy108 fixed gear...

  • My fastest is a 11,2 at concret opne velo...

  • My fastest is a 12.5 in LA... I have no clue how you could shave that much time off

  • Hes riding on Dubs

  • When I was young, there was a little concrete bowl in the city park, around 200 yards around. I was smoking weed there with my buds, and we decided to time ourselves on our bikes. I was fastest, at around 25 seconds. Is that considered fast? I had a Schwinn, so it was maybe an unfair advantage over my friends. They had Huffys or Murrays. One guy's foot came off the pedal, and he went over the bars. We laughed so hard!

  • @arklat..i did it in 15.36secs..and im U16 boys but the fastest in my age group is just under 14sec and its concrete not wood

  • @RIPmadness i did 11.7 at concrete velo and im 16

  • Comment removed

  • @arklat No thats not fast. the world record for running 200m is 19. something... so on a bike you should be faster...

  • @PianoLerner for a first time that's pretty damn good

  • @PianoLerner I'm 13 as well so for you to compare I got 14.67 seconds for 200m with 400m to accelerate

  • @finnrambo1 Weak

  • dj6658: Check your ignorant comments buster ...

During the 2010 AFRICAN WORLD CUP in South Africa - the Nederlanders were the most gracious and loved tourists - of all visitors.

As for Track Cycling - again the Nederlanders are amazing - as I recall when we raced against them in South Africa - they ate us up and spat us out through their amazing cycling prowess ...

  • whats a good time for a 13 year old, i got 24 seconds. is that good for 250metres with a 25 metree fly start

  • @PianoLerner is that on a velodrome track bike or just outside on your normal bike?

  • @TimpBizkit That was my first go on a velodrome track bike

  • great video quality

  • how old was he there?

  • this guy is fucking finished

the dutch are VERY racist by the way

  • dont these racers use single speed

  • @samstterhamstteer I'm pretty sure they're fixed geared.

  • is the tyre's moving or no?

  • what if he pulled the brake

  • @Nelarsen ..there is no brake...

  • @zach00attack well there is kinda, but not in the conventional sense of a lever, on single speed bikes the chain works both ways ie. if you pedal backwards you move backwards, so thats how they brake, but they dont do it while racing so its kinda pointless lol

  • @tennisrulesok I'm pretty sure you mean "fixed gear" (i.e. a track hub), many single-speed bikes are not fixed (i.e. freewheel hub). They aren't the same thing. Also, pedaling backwards is not how one brakes on a track (assuming a reasonable time period, like an emergency where a "brake" is needed): at such speeds and cadence one "skip stops", shifting forward or up enough to go straight to locking the rear wheel. Kills the wheel, but doesn't kill you.

  • @hslch ohh i see, i didnt realise it was like that, when it was explained to me it was explained very vaguely so i assumed a back pedal acted as the brake, cheers for fillin me in though

  • @tennisrulesok If you've ever tried spinning classes, its the same idea.

  • i could go faster haha

  • cyclists r good at sex

  • Yeah..... I know we are.

  • @beezified yes.

  • @beezified true that homes..

  • @beezified no they become impotent from too much pressure on the wrong areas from the bike seat

  • @beezified Oh yes.

  • @beezified so she said.

  • @beezified lol!!! How do you know it ? :)

  • @beezified you fuckin idiot

  • i think he should churn out a higher gear

  • I'm sure you know more about gearing than he does. Maybe you should be his coach?

  • @recon455 considering there is only one of them

  • haha, yeah! he probably reallllly needs someone to tell him what gear to ride in. I'm sure Theo Bos would appreciate it if you just let him know that he's doing it all wrong. I mean, really, he's only one of the world's finest. He could use a little help from you, O guru of idiotic YouTube comments.

  • im sure he would

  • @BlackHopeMania Are you joking? For your information this is a pista model... It has only one gear...

  • Frenchman Kevin Sireau set a new cycling world record at the 200m flying start distance at the Moscow Grand Prix on Friday, May 29th 2009.

Sireau clocked 9.650 seconds, beating the previous record time of 9.772 seconds, which Theo Bos set on December 16, 2006.

  • Chris Hoy is faster. He believes the French eat pastries for breakfast.

  • Chris Hoy IS faster, agreed. But Theo is from the land of the windmills where it blows really hard (Netherlands), what is the deal w/ the French??

  • Chris Hoy features in these adverts in England for Bran flakes, where he says phrases such as ' I believe the french have pastries for breakfast' etc

  • WTF?

  • @diligentdan I think Bos is faster flat out, but Hoy is a better match sprinter

  • What is the point of this race? If there is no other cyclists to tackle??

  • It's a time trial, you just have to have the best time (a short one at that). Bringing in other riders changes everything, drafting, having the inside lane, it's no longer a measure of shear power output and instead adds strategy.

  • about drugs, regardless if they do drugs or not. they still have to have the genetics to be incredibly fast to start with. then you go from there. We have a 13 yo kid who is winning in the cat, c's! and he just started!! it's all genetics and drive.

    keep pedaling

  • Theo Bos ,scum

  • I like to do underwater basketweaving.

  • They're good?

  • Now there's an idea!

  • jij is goed omdat die een nederlander is

and masterjunkie your a noob kanker jonk

  • what are you thinking ???

Everey rider how becomes wc or has a wr is on drugs ???

    Pfff, loser

  • I think on here somewhere someone posted the gears and speed. But if i remember , it was a 50-14/51-14. and about 65+kph. We had the US team motor pacing behind the elec. bike at our 'drome doing 72kph. even the elec bike rider was a bit freaked out in the corners with the added G's.

  • anyone know what gear ratio he used? or max km per hour?

  • i dont under stand the german as well.. As a junior in a 50/14 i hit 72.??kph on my road bike, 80+ kph while drafting a city bus, think at one point i hit 160+ rpm as well. on the mag trainer in winter training after warm up ,in the small ring I once hit 368 rpm for a split second. I was 16 at the time, did a 1.10 kilo and the coach told me if i hadent "made it by then" dont bother!! and that was on a borrowed track bike!! 88in/ gear!!.

  • How the hell do you hit 368 rpm on a bike?? That's like six pedal strokes a second!

    168 rpm perhaps?

  • sorry to tell you my friend, but your bike computer is F£$ked

  • I just hit 211 on the trainer last night, and 148 on the velodrome in a 82 in (49*16) gear. The 368 was with almost no resistance and for a split second. the record i heard of as a kid was over 500 rpm by a Chec, or german fella in the 80's.!. if your really a true sprinter you will know you can go over 200 rpm in the small ring and when fit 160 is common in a 50-14 when doing intervals. 51-14 at 130 rpm is 62.4 kph.

  • What about all those little kids that go blasting down the footpaths on their little plastic tricycles doing what seems like a million rpm cadence. . . . . . and they dont even use cleats . . . .

  • @ericslife you can still enjoy cycling throughout life.. im sure there is lots of pressure tho to succeed by the time youre 1st year junior.

  • theo bos is not a drug cheat.

    chris hoy maybe

look at the difference in their physiques

  • There is no chance Chris Hoy is a drug cheat!!!! The difference in physiques maybe all the hours chris spends in the Gym, so he has the power to go fast!!!

  • Well, mustardjunkie, according to your logic and evidence, stated so authoritatively on youtube, every person who rides a bicycle or rides a bicycle faster than you dopes. Is on the juice. Guilty by association gives those not willing or wanting to see the facts, comfort in knowing that they know everything there is to know about everything others proclaim they know everything about.

You just hate it when someone else likes a rider you have condemned through you bizarre logic.

  • Did I comment on this vid? Man ZQPYU your everywhere. Did you just spam ever single cycling video before I can get to it?

  • Yes, you did, 5 months ago.

  • @mustardjunkie Voted down because this is offtopic completely. What has biology and chemistry with bicycles to do???

  • 9,772 please

  • What was the time? 9,774 seconds? If thats it, thats beastly

  • Tracksprinter Theo Bos: 190 cm, 85 kg, 1983

200 Meter fliegend in 9,774 sec.

    Mittlere Geschwindigkeit: 73,7 km/h

    Pedalumdrehunden: 26

    Mittlere Drehzahl: 160 RPM

    Grösse der Uebersetzung: 7,7 m/U.

    Regards

    Manfred Nüscheler

  • translation in english?

  • i don´t understand this: Grösse der Uebersetzung: 7,7 m/U

  • The Gear: i think 51x14 = 7,7 metres/revolution

  • yes, it is possible... thanks a lot

  • yeah thats right, at sea level top riders are getting around 70 here in south africa.

  • @faultysa

    With stolen bikes?

  • was that in moscow?

its such a super fast track, when you dive of the banking with no effort you rolling at 60km/h.

in junior world champs, my team mate had 72km/h clocked on the srm box. would be good if it was at altitude!

  • I work that out to be about 73.69km/h, is that right? Insane...

  • 73.68 lol.

  • lion bos

  • well...what was the time?

    9,772 sec.

  • well...what was the time?

  • Theo The Boss. Het zegt het al

  • awesome!!!
