Hey i have a question plz respond!! wen ppl buy turn tables do they need to buy those big black disks with the lil stick that goes on top for each different songs?? and btw yes am a beginner so plz don't juge! i've been looking at alot of videos and i see they scrach with the lil disks n change em to put on a different song!! i wanna buy me turntables that work with my new laptop i jst bought virtual dj online!!

@kalo522 i think you want to check out CDJs (digital turntables) to use with your laptop, unless you are looking to learn to scratch. the "little discs" are records and each one is going to have different music on it, or different scratch sounds, etc. the tables come with everything youll need except records, you gotta find them. you can also buy scratch records with pre made sounds made for scratching if thats what youre into.

@kalo522 I don't know much about a turntable/mixer to a computer setup but have you checked out MIDI controllers. Personaly I think analog djing takes more skill.

The Stanton STR8 150 was design specifically to one-up the Technics. It has a straight tone arm, high torque, and is is heavy (made out of metal) to prevent the needle from skipping, etc. You should look it up - it has many good reviews.

Yes theres alot of way better ones but the 1200s and 1210s are built like a tank and are the classics so people stick with them. I myself have some Numarks and I love em!
