@murdamook504 yea ill have to agree with ya, this one is fun difficult by urself but in a fun way, always better with two players:), but double dragon 3 is cheap difficult, like completley unfair to no end. i dont even know how they got it released
This really sums up the epicness of the fight, although I really hated him flying all over making him hard to hit and that single punch combo that takes away half your health >:(
@Judex777 and then he jumps up with his spin attack, hits you, and you die a cursing, agonizingly slow death after realizing the fucker just knocked off 3 of your bars in a single hit.
@Judex777 Yeah! I remember when I heard this tune and the stage turns into a chapel but moreover when the Shadow Master lost his trick to get invisible. "No more cheap and pussy tricks, now it`s time to beat the crap of you and finish once it for all!" I thought myself when this song plays!
OMG i almost jizzed my pants while listening to this. I used to play DD2 like crazy when i was a kid and this super version of final boss music is just simply EPIC.
@VideoGamePervert first i listened to the Eye of the Tiger...then i listened to this..so i listenened to the E.o.t.T again..but i get lost..don´t know what to do....don´t know where i am... :s
The final boss in supreme master is a really acrobatic guy who, yes, can turn invisible. After you inflict some nice damage on him, the background changes to indoors, and he loses his ability to turn invisible. During that part of the fight, this song is played.
@DJCandyManMike The Illusionist was impressive but i personally found the boss fight from the NES Double Dragon 1, where you fight your brother; Jimmy, more rewarding.
Whats the first song that plays when you fight him? I think i've heard it before as i go through the game but I'm not sure...
@Desh681 "Second of all...when does this play? Is this when you're fighting the illusion master dude? The guy that can go invisible?" Yes. Specifically, when the illusion fades and he's down to a few hits.
@RSXEmperor: There is a Double Dragon game for the iPhone that's basically a remake of the original, with some new stages. It's not great, but it's not bad either.
The series could definitely use a proper game, though.
What I'd like to see is the second arcade game his Xbox Live Arcade. The first one was up 4 years ago and would still be up now if Empire hadn't gone under, so why not bring the second one to download?
Can you imagine if Ken was the lead character in Street Fighter series and they used this every he reached the end boss -- or even against Ryu (Evil Ryu)? I downloaded this them to my PS3 for people to hear!!! ^_^
Ive been playing games for a long time, and out of all the memories this was the most epic final battle
The music and the hell you had to go through to get there to save your girl. Plus me and my cousin beat the game together, which made the experience even greater.
At the age of 7 we were pretending to be Billy and Jimmy haha.
oddly the supreme master gets hit easier by a drop kick, if he ducks your cyclone, he does a hand cyclone of his own and gets half your entire life bars
This theme always reminds me of the first time I finally reach him with my uncle. Some how my uncle always finishes him with an epic uppercut. Usually right after I get killed by the boss's jump spinning lariat.
All DD games (at least on the NES) have great music...different gameplay among other things. I own all of them and although I prefer the 2nd one over the others, I admit one can have fun with all of them because of their respective pros and cons. Can't beat that soundtarck that is playing now!!
This music erases my fear and makes my adrenaline flow like beer at an Irish beer festival. I love the guitar solo and the bitchin' pinch harmonic at the end, along with the vocal-like synths. It's hard to believe this was recorded in the late eighties. It sounds so good.
This music is uber. I can imagine myself jumping around in front of a green-screen explosion wearing my underpants and doing ninja moves to the camera, :D
"A soundtrack, simply titled Double Dragon II: The Revenge, was published in Japan by Meldac and released on March 10, 1990. The soundtrack features arranged versions of the music from the NES version (originally composed by Kazunaka Yamane) composed by Kazuhiro Hara and Nobuhito Tanahashi. The soundtrack also features a vocal J-pop rendition of the Double Dragon opening theme performed by Manami Morozumi titled "Dead or Alive". Its catalog number is MECG-28001."
@Fradener Wrong, you obviously have never owned the game. I ripped these songs straight from the CD. And this song also plays from the same game on supreme difficulty, but you wouldn't know that without google or the other 100 comments that continue to confirm it.
@Khalirei It's hard to own a game that doesn't exist. There is no Mega Drive CD version, so I doubt you managed to put a cartridge in your CD Drive. You may be thinking of the PC Engine version, but even that has different music than this. I think you are confused but you are definitely mistaken. If you are talking about the basic melody itself then yes, it is in several versions of the game.. but not, ironically, the Mega Drive version. This particular version is definitely from the AST.
I know right! We got an awesome cast: Billy + Jimmy Lee, Chin Taimei, Ranzou and Marion! Baddies like: Linda Lash + Bash, Willy, Roper, "Ah-nold", Mask-guy, Boxer, Ninjas, and the many versions of Abobo! I wanna see new characters!!!!
The final boss in supreme master is a really acrobatic guy who, yes, can turn invisible. After you inflict some nice damage on him, the background changes to indoors, and he loses his ability to turn invisible. During that part of the fight, this song is played.
This would be nice, when you are faced with a final exam that decided whether or not you graduated from college. :) Of course, this song gives you the inner strength to beat the crap out of that exam. :)

I remember first hearing this song on the old NES game and thinking "This would be so bloody intense if it was played with better equipment." Turns out I was right.
