It surprises me when I see members of the mormon cult say that they believe in the same Jesus Christ that Christians do. Then they don't sustain Hinkley as a prophet. He made it quite clear that you don't. Jesus is God. The trinity is not one in purpose but one GOD! If you do not believe this, then you talk of another Jesus. The Bible warns of other Christs. i have been to the mormon church. The people go up on the pulpit to testify or giving out testimony how great the church programs are,the weekly meetings and etc. none of them talked about what Jesus had done for them. it's a good social setting but it misses it real essence .

Well put Tommy. I noticed the same thing in the Mormon church when I used to be a member they will have the fast and testimony meetings, and cry and pull on everyones emotions that Joseph Smith is a true prophet, and so on.....

In reality it is group hypnosis and a form of brainwashing. Mormons put it all on their feelings and emotions. God never told us to pray about a book to be saved, and God forbade us to follow false prophets. God said in the OT "Death to the false prophet!"

The first thing that goes through their head is "If the LDS church is false, and they taught me they are the only true church, then maybe everyone else is false."

yeah i agree totally with u . may i know how i can address you? when i was in the church,i wondered why the sisters missionaries got all emotional when they were testifying the church was true and all. Then,i read sth frm the net,it is their techniques to draw in members and converts.

i never came across they mentioned abt the finished work of jesus christ and it's all about obedience and church weekly home meeting and programs. well,i think its a very good church in terms of social setting.

yah sir, we have those program and activities because of revelation and guidance from God. And for your information, it is not the missionaries techniques in teaching. We are never taught about the techniques that u have said from the net

LDS inc has a very deceptive lesson plan that the missionaries teach from. The missionaries will ofter ask the potential convert how they feel. This is a sales technique, it is to be used later when the missionary asks the potential convert to pray about the book of mormon. The missionary has already prepped the convert to use feelings in their decision making process. Feelings don't save us from Hell, Jesus Christ saves us from Eternal Hell.
