@jillvalentinefan77 There's not really a need to make it part of the coherent storyline. I was expecting it as a bonus campaign. Sorta like the first command and conquer expansions - a series of "this mission is virtually impossible - have fun" missions. Having a mind-control based team like Yuri's setup would make plenty of opportunities for such missions.

C&C Generals Zero Hour had the generals challenge, which pit you, using one of the specialist generals against the other specialists with enormous bases, then an epic final battle against an even more absurd base. It has nothing to do with the storyline, but it provides an extra challenge.

Modern Warfare 2 had something similar, though I probably shouldn't genre jump.

My point is the way Yuri's team works, it's ideally structured for tactical challenges of that nature, as opposed to a coherent campaign. The campaign wouldn't be very believable even by RA standards, given how much Yuri is shown to snowball in the RA2 campaigns. Throughout each campaign it's an epic struggle to try to just slow him down.

Exactly ra3 is just bit more complicated even when compared to sc2 , sc2 looked like a simple rts. The reason why the first look at ra3 sucks is because the complex strategies and all that many stuff which could ruin the fun.

In ra2 overpowerd base defense, no expanding, and mostly tank battle made it fun.

Yeah. EA crossed the line of plain stupid over imagination and unbelievable factions, that Westwood placed just behind in the perfect balance. the soundtrack in the regular RA2 was better and longer, but in most ways Yuri gave an extremely cool addition (such as Team Alliance in Skirmish, positioning, new maps, new units (but a few shit, like brute, too.)
