haha, my roommate at Cornell is this kid's cousin.

This is the pickup from the mike on the camera which was on the stage and I agree it is not optimum. However I believe that the wonderful performance comes across.Also the audio track has to be converted to mp3 for youtube purposes. They might also add some additional compression in their processing

The recording sounds rather more reverberant than my impression in the hall; clarity and especially lightness suffer. I wonder whether this is due to the recording or its rendition through the processes of YouTube. Some general compression seems to have been applied as well, which might explain the sound. (I do not intend to comment on the performance, nor on this comment.)
