@Supermassively Hmm. Trying to figure out how it's childish and bashing on religion. The Imperial March was the signal that we were in the presence of evil. That makes as much sense (in my opinion) as playing something by Marilyn Manson, a known aethiest. And actually, I was initially making a joke at how that's something that doesn't seem to be church related. I'm sorry if you have no sense of humor, but I know a good proctologist that can get that stick removed.
I don't give a damn that is doesn't sound amazing, and in case you can't tell, there are some people talking which make it sound worse than it is. this is awesome! gives the music the perfect feel
i love this lol , i seen the normal elderly woman play it last month there (not the same song) and she had these amazing wee slippers for her feat, i was so tempted to go and jump her just to get them lol !! such a glasgow move !
I'm pretty sure this is the same organist who plays the organ in Glasgow University, he played this at the Freshers Address in September '09 when the Rector, Chaplains and student union heads came to the front of the main hall. Legendary stuff :) I'm pretty sure he can play the Indiana Jones theme as well.
@tktru you just simply don't understand how beautiful this song is on the organ do? i feel sorry for uncultured swine like you. im not with good standing with the church either but at least im being a grownup about it.
@shinyplasticbag - Kelvin Hall was the old Glasgow Museum of Transport building, I thought... I don't know, I've never been further North than Manchester, but my dad was brought up in Glasgow (North Kelvinside) and always refers to the GMOT as having been in Kelvin Hall.
Your right it's the Kelvingrove Museum. The Kelvin Hall was built as an exhibition and show space and was used as such until the (SECC) Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre was built on clydeside.
After that the building was split into 2 units - the front became an indoor sports arena and the side and rear became a temporary home for the Museum of Transport, from 1987 onwards. The Museum of Transport has also mved to Clydeside and re-opens this year.
"Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the piece he was playing before The Imperial March was? I can't even begin to guess, but I like the sound of it. Hopefully one of you recognizes it. "
That is another part of the "Empire Strikes Back" score.
Before moving to a question, I'll agree with pretty much everyone so far that playing The Imperial March on a massive pipe organ in a museum is just bloody amazing.
Now then. Question time. Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the piece he was playing before The Imperial March was? I can't even begin to guess, but I like the sound of it. Hopefully one of you recognizes it.
I think jingeshan24 is right about the whole "critisize" thing, although, taking it further and calling the man an "emature" kinda knocks the whole comment to pieces.

Leider kann man dem Organisten nicht näher und über die Schulter sehen, zudem
ist ein störendes Rauschen im Ton!
Ein Gert van Hoef bietet da erheblich besseres und stellt mit seinen fantastischen
