Great setup you got there :) Maybe you can change the bulbs from your vanity mirror into "daylight" bulbs so that you can use it when natural daylight is not available :)

Thank you so much for this video Emily! I have learned so much from you through the years and this has given me such a better idea on how to shoot my own videos in a more efficient way! I recently received a HD camera for Christmas and it has made filming a lot easier since I can see if I'm in the frame! =) Still working on how to film tutorials better with the lighting and mirror set up but thank you again for this! Your Video quality is really amazing, I love the camera you use, it makes you so clear and focused. I've also heard of the Canon EOS Rebel T3i. It's a DSLR camera and it's really good quality too and takes amazing photos as well. (In case you ever need to change cams or anything) =]

Wow!! I've pondered this very thing. Lots of work! Never would've known- thanks so much for sharing the "other" side of the camera. IMHO.. I think you have a very good sense of judgement about the: hows and whats of videos- albeit being a professional in front of the camera helps and it shows. Literally. This was so helpful! I am currently in the market for my first camcorder for beauty videos. My choice was the Canon Vixia HF R20, however a friend of mine clued me in to this channel/video for your camera. It seems to work great and the video is so crisp! The best thing is that this camera is cheaper than the one I chose (: I am not so excited about 10min videos taking 4hrs to upload, however. (Especially with that shady college internet connection-everyone is on it!) But thank u so much!!

Great video! What a lot of time and effort, thank you. My dad is a professional photographer and often times when shooting several sets of series of photos (for panoramas, he takes 4-5+ pictures and then stitches them together in PS) and at the beginning of each set he photographs his finger, or uses a sign of some sort to separate what looks like hundreds of the same picture when editing-I guess it's his version of 3-2-1 ;)
