The video makes it look like you're putting more effort in to the performance on the video than the actual recording. Its not a bad attempt at the song and ignore the criticism. Fair play for having a go! The only things ill say constructively are: Were you using a metronome? Parts seem to have gone out or time with the drums. Were you sure all the parts you had were right? Some sounded a little off? Would be interested to hear a finished version.
i personally love the sound of gibson on marshall. The same set-up used by Jade Puget of AFI, Slash, and others. This piece of shit MG 50 is my not-so-good amp but i used it because it was easy to move. I usually use an MG100 Head + Cab when using my Gibson, and when i can afford, i plan to get a Plexi, which sounds amazing with Gibson.

It's not that difficult to sing at his pitch if you are a tenor. A freakishly high voice is like the lead singer of Tokio Hotel. My advice to the singer is just get some vocal lessons and they'll do a treat, provided you get a good teacher.

yes you are correct about the no sterio recording and bad micing but im sorry, i wasn't under the impression that a K Custom Hybrid Ride and Avedis Mastersound Hats were, as you called it cheap... and more so, im dumbfounded that a gibson les paul studio can be considered cheap or crappy. what are your thoughts?
not all of them, i was not looking at modles just buy the sound of it, you might want a compressor on your guitar it would make it like up to its name. your stuff probly be fine if you miced it realy well. and some Acustum 19 and 18 crashes woulnt hurt. i play sabian but of zildjen i would syjest that

We recorded another band's song because we wanted to get used to the whole process of recording and become familiar with the ProTools system we were using for recording.
We're using pro tools 5.1 (told u its ghetto). We have 7.0 and 9.0 on Disc but we have to get an Mbox 2.0 first to be able to use them. This version is really hard to work with. no click track, 24 tracks max, not many mix-down or mastering effects either. The last song before last resort was "breaking the habit" by linkin park
