Weird how people say this is a better version etc, it isn't. She didn't write it, so it doesn't mean as much or anything to the person singing it, which comes across in the song. I find bands that play stuff they actually care about are usually considerably better, that is why I never think covers are better than originals. However it's a decent version, at least they didn't murder it like some over bands do to good songs.

back in the 60s and 70s a lot of hit songs were "white" versions of songs that were written by black ppl. So a lot of music at the time were covers and the originals were never heard. So who is to say which version is better? U say that the cover doesnt mean as much to the singer, how do u know that? Usually ppl make covers because it means a lot to them, or cause they want money. I do agree that usually covers arent my taste and its rare to find one that i like.

I dont think coldplay has ripped off any bands, again in my opinion. Just cause they play the same style of music as other bands dosent mean its ripped off, Take Rap/Hip Hop for example. All of that sounds the same but dosent mean they ripped each other off
