This was my all time favorite TV show. It was out during a period in my life when I identified with Alley and her everyday drama. She opened a whole new world for me to explore within myself and I enjoyed every episode they made. It was sad to see her go after so many years on air but that's alway's the case with show's that touch our live's and heart's. Alley McBeal had a little bit of everything for all type's of people. It made us laugh and cry, feel angry,happy and in the end satisfied.

It's a shame the final season wasn't as planned and had to be changed because of Robert Downey Jr. It would have been nice to have them marry it's a bit to realistic that not everyone finds and keeps love.

Brilliant show, one of a kind by being true to love and not the fantasy.

@Nightlylioness Urgh I know. I have never ever cried before over a tv show but I was just BAWLING. I refused to even watch season four even though everyone said Larry was awesome. I maintain that Billy Thomas was Ally's true love and they never got a chance to be together....grrrrrrr

@Nightlylioness Yeah..I think the first two seasons were the best. Then in season three they made BIlly into a male chauvinist pug and then KILLED him. Season four was good from what I can tell but not the same, and then season five they brought in a bunch of new people who sucked. I loved seeing Billy's ghost though. Those moments were great. The very last Billy/Ally scene, in the series finale...it made me even more certain that Billy was Ally's soulmate. :(

@Nightlylioness That's how true love works I guess!One of the many reasons I wish Billy had lived is that if he had and he and Ally weren't dating in the series finale, at least I would know that they would end up together eventually. But he's dead and I don't think she'll ever be as happy as she could have been with Billy. That scene right before he died, when he was talking about how he'd been married to Ally for 12 years- I feel like that was the future they were

It's really sad how my favorite show of all times (yes even more then sex and the city) ended but in the end... the show ended realistic... not all of us end up happily ever after and wasn't that the the essence of the show? Once a year I watch al seasons, I cry, I laugh, I learn from this show...

Watching the last season, you realize how often Ally mentions Larry, and it's so sad! I love Robert Downey Jr. but I kind of hate him for ruining Ally McBeal. Lol!
