It is hard for me to tell. I bought the LP used. It had some S(y)Ds in it....from playing a buch of LPs at GC: the new PUs in LPs are good but lack a little warmth, are a LITTLE harsh and low end is not as tight as it could be. I really like the WCRs..they do have mojo...I will not buy any more WCRs but, I also will keep them in the LP. I like Jason Lollar PUs more. I also think that skatterbranes are most likely worth checking out. My next PU purcahse will be skatterbranes.
@phishfacemountian your sound reminded kenny burrell to me. very nice, musical warm tone. haven't tried but i think wcr pickups are really superior. i like seth lover and alnico 2 pro humbuckers from duncan also.
@bulenterdem1977 thank you. There are so many boutique PU winders but I tend to like my Lollar the best but it is very personal and I have only tried a fraction of what is out there. peace
WCR pickups are not cheap! How do find they compare with the stock pickups?
