quick question, once you reach the final boss, are you able to go back through the game to get the rest of the collectables?

@dadude1200 Well your game will be from the last savepoint you saved from once you beat the boss and return to the menu, which is the Chozo artifact temple/Core elevator. From there you will have the ability to go anywhere.

Space Pirate and Chozo lore indicate that Metroid Prime was in fact the peak of the Parasite's evolution. It absorbed the Phazon Core within the Leviathan and in turn gained several unique abilities. When it absorbed the Space Pirate tech, it grew even stronger.

Ominously, the creature escaped from SP captivity and is said to have acknowledged its one defect: The defensive screens. Space Pirate scientists speculate that given time, it would correct even this flaw and become truly invincible.

Holy crap, I remember fighting Metroid Prime at the end of the game when I was a kid (I had to have been nine or ten). For whatever reason I started my first game on hard mode, and I died a bajillion times in this battle.

I never really understood metroid prime 1's story. Why the fuck did she board up a abandoned alien ship, follow a space dragon into a planet, collect some... I dunno maps to unlock a door that leads to the center of the planet, kill the dragon before going in there and then kill some creepy ass monster then run away?

@D197JN The story is kind of explained, but it's muted, for atmospheric purposes. "Metroid" has story, but the series is more engrossing by just focusing on the alien atmosphere...except that bullshit known as "Other M".

If you have a lot of missiles, the Beam Combos are the best thing against Metroid Prime. Flamethrower is kind of meh against it, since the charge beam works fine too, but the Wavebuster, Ice Spreader, and Super Missile are super effective (lol pokemon) against this thing.

I love the idea of Emperor Ing vs Metroid Prime vs Aurora Unit 313 to see who the greatest final boss of the prime series was...  But it would be a sad, horrible tie! Each one had different powers and vulnerabilities, but each also had different INVULNERABILITIES. Pure Phazon may win the day, but Prime in this form could only be damaged by different elemental beams, and Emperor Ing had his dark/light dimmension armor. It would be utter chaos, yes. But no winner!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that Metroid Prime's first phase is a tad bit harder than the final one, right? The only thing you really have to worry about in the final phase is the Metroids he sents after you, but they're simply washed away with a Power Bomb, anyway. Quite easy pattern, simply said.

Some weapons you find were indeed created by the Chozo (or their peers, such as the Luminoth), so you can imagine those would be compatible. But considering the Chozo are/were regarded to have massively advanced technology, I find it believable that the suit has advanced technology able to decipher, implement, or even modify weapon/movement/misc. systems found in the field.

@qwertypower9 The only enemy planets Samus has been on is the space pirate homeworld and Phaaze from metroid prime 3. All the other planets she's been to were either once inhabited by the chozo or by a civilization who where friends with the chozo. And it was explained in the first Metroid Prime that the chozo left behind various upgrades for the power suit to aid Samus in their absence.
