great video... thanks for uploading. really looks good.
I'd want such a setup, really looks crisp and quick. Linux seems to be a efficient OS for this type of usage. I don't know if my current setup is linux compatible, running a Mac Mini 2.0 core2duo. I think there are issues with sound card if I remember right, and I don't think a VM Ware solution would be powerful enough.
could you strem the whole UI to a appleTV via airplay ??
@raoulspam Im not all that familiar with mac, so i cant answer your questions, however, i DO know that XBMC makes a front end for mac, you might havesome good luck using that. its free download, give it a shot!
@dirtysouth1295 Naming the episodes should be like this: Folder: name of show subfolder: season of show file: Name of show[space]Season,Episode example: Sons Of Anarchy S02E03.avi (the zeros seem to make a difference. Do NOT add any other information to the name of the file, thus: sons of anarchy S02E03 aired 09-22-09.avi wont be found. ALSO for movies, if you have 2 movies with the same name, use () around a year for clarification... ex. the mechanic (2010) the mechanic (1972)
You also have to go into the file its in and specifically point the auto search to look in THAT FOLDER(sons of anarchy) to look at TVDB not MovieDB for meta data. i have my TV shows in a separate folder on the drive. (1TB file system, subfolders: movies, music, tv shows, pictures) and folders for all from there. it makes setup easy. (music scan allmusic, tv scan TVDB, movies scan MovieDB my biggest issue right now is the correct tagging of music. i tagged improper format long ago.
