The jumping balls seem to be an altered version of a specific enemy in the game that does this move all the time, you can even hear the sounds when he would hit the water in the original.

Try making a Wide-Screen Hack, allowing you to use wider monitors to your advantage while playing.

@Amaroqdricaldari Super Metroid do not work with wide-screen hack because of 2D graphic. Wide-screen hack can only work for 3D rendered game such as N64 and gamecube.

@aigamerDS You just need to change the camara view. It isn't a movie or anything. You can extend the screen as you please.

@aigamerDS Actually, that's not true. The only reason you can't play Super Metroid with wide-screen is that the SNES doesn't support it. It has nothing to do with whether or not the system can render 3D graphics or not. The Playstation 1 is designed to run 3D games, and it has no wide-screen support. Also, several SNES games are in 3D, like Starfox.

How did you do this? I downloaded the IPS file, but it won't work on my emulator (Snes 9x 1.43 for Mac).

Use Zsnes, Snes9X sucks, and uhm you need to get an Unmodified Rom of, Super Metorid (JU) and use lunar ips, and patch the files to the thingy stuff and then itle work like magic
