@BRANDON85L... sick ride i love the mariners! if you want HIDS then you need an H13 HID Kit which includes 2 ballasts and 2 bulbs. you can buy a kit on Ebay. good luck with the mods!
i have a 2008 escape white, i want to install 5000k hid bulbs. was it hard to install? do you have to remove anything or pop the hood and remove and mount the ballasts?
@kingkevinn... sweet escape! it wasnt hard at all! on the left side of the engine the ballast screwed right into an existing hole and on the battery side of the engine bay i put the ballast on the shock mount tip. i recently changed these lights and put 6000k HID high and low beam and i get no highbeams back to me anymore haha the 8000k were too bright and bothered many people! good luck on the install!
@NTHG2PRV Thank! :) but did you aim them correctly? maybe that was the problem that it might have been blinding people? just a thought. and i just purchased the hid 6000k low hid/hi halogen. hopefully it works, because i want to retain my high beam, any idea why the high beams dont work?
@kingkevinn... no prob! i didnt bother aiming them cuz they were the single beam which means it is ALWAYS on high beam! yes with the high and low beam you will be able to use high beam like normal. i have a 6000k high/low kit on my Escape and the high beam is blue-ish white just like the low beam!

@kingkevinn... i hear you man! they are twisted in pretty tight from factory so you have to keep at it. the wings on the bulb are tough you can use force on them to twist. try using gloves with rubber fingertips. i had a difficult time taking mine out but they eventualy came out. good luck !
@NTHG2PRV yes they are so far deep behind so many things its hard to even get a hold of them, i asked the dealership if they could just tkke them out and install the bulbs and they said sure they can do it for me.
@apontek12.. yes you have to buy a HID kit prefereable the high and low beam 6000k or less so its not bright for oncoming traffic. i changed my lights from 8000k to 6000k and i dont bother people anymore lol i got mine from ebay just type in H13 hid kit thanks for watching!
great vid man just bought a 2011 escape last december with the sports apperance package so it came with the black rims and spoiler and no roof rack Love the rig so far have the 8K HID's on order for both the headlights and driving lights should be here next week actully thinking about a bull bar with 3 8 million candle power baja lights for when I get the highbeam flash I'll give it right back lol just wondering what the bar ran ya? where you got it and if it comes in a black finish

@NTHG2PRV painted ? what im doing his im going to ford and let them order it for my cuzz on the new escape there a sport edition thats comes with the black grill well in canada they have this model but its probs going to cost me alot but at lease it will be done right :p

@NTHG2PRV if you on tire rack. com u will get a better pair for like 800 but just rims and u can see what they look like on the car its preety cool. and mine is a 2011 black escape :p im planning to have the outter rim red to match the break callapers :p project starts on november 25 on my birthday when i get my subwoofers :p

@NTHG2PRV well i might get black rims cuzz im going to lower it a little not to much cuzz of winter so maybe around 17, 18 inch i dont want the gangster look i want more of the racing look :p i think the rimes are going to be one of the hardest choices cuzz it makes the car alot example my dad has a f150 withsick rims and people allways say nice truck but winter comming we changed them and we get no more looks :( :P
@rallisonreptiles.. hey i got the 8000k single beam from a guy selling them in my area. But i have recently installed 6000k Bi-Xenon (low+high beam) and i am really pleased with them! The 8000k single beam were way too bright and i always got highbeamed from oncoming traffic. Now with the bi-xenon kit its always on low so i havent gotten any complaints yet lol i got the 6000k hid kit from Ebay
@rallisonreptiles..... Bi-Xenon HID kit is what you need then. The low beam is hid and the high beam is also hid in the temperature that you choose. If you get a single beam kit then when you turn on high beams the lights will switch to halogen low beam lights which will do nothing for you.
how hard was it to install your bull bar? i'm thinking of picking one up for my 2010 Escape Limited, I plan on getting a "Westin" off ebay and it says its bolt on - no drilling required, wondering if you had to make any cuts or had any problems

@jokerjokester.... the bull bar was not hard to install. I had to cut the plastic under the front end so that the brackets for the bull bar could bolt on to the frame of the truck. I also had to cut into the front air valance (the little dark plastic spoiler on the front bumper) I made two approx 2inch slits on both sides of it so that the bull bar could wrap under the truck's bumper and bold on to the frame.
