  • They must have a best pilot in NASA Space Shuttle history. How many manual simulator landings has someone landed?

I flew with a mission specialist once in a plane I was used to (8hrs/day) and it felt like an elevator when he flew it. Can't imagine what the Command Pilots can do...

  • very nice. The Apollo command module pilot did the reentry ! :)

  • I love how they come in for a landing and then PSYCH! =D We're just gonna take off and do it again.

  • It was ironic that Astronaut Scott Altman would actually land "Atlantis" after servicing Hubble for the last time in May 2009.

  • it is tradition that the commander lands the spacecraft. It has been like that since apollo. Neil Armstrong was the commander of the apollo 11 and he landed the lunar module. Buzz Aldrin was the pilot but he never flew the LM.
