Larry Ashley is clearly visible in this, but he wasn't fighting. Harry Neale was the one who was fighting and he was suspended. This is what got Roger Nielson (Asst. Coach) to be our coach, which carried into the playoffs and led to the historic raising of the white flag on the hockey stick... which then led to every fan using a white towel in the remainder of that series... This is not only exciting, classic video, but it altered Canucks history quite significantly!

Holy Shit! I think I was at this game. Was it March or April 1982? Nucks went to the finals that year. It was either March Break or Easter Weekend I can't remember. Bruce Hood was the ref and he took a FULL 24 oz. cup of either Coke or Beer right in the face from a fan. It was directly across the ice from the Neale incident. 3-3 Tie as I recall, Snepts knuckle-balled a shot from the point past Bouchard to tie it. Skiing at St. Anne was also great.

God, I hope with the new arena Quebec City is getting (Its been approved by the provincial government to spend $400 Million on it and there is a businesswoman in London, England who wants to own an NHL team in Quebec City) that the Nucks play here as much as possible! I swear I'm the only Canucks fan in Quebec City and I would be at every game they play here! (I'm from Victoria by the way)

I am so glad this was put up, this shows how different the times were then when I was a kid and the times now. Today NO sports caster would ever say "if the fan is going to fight a player, then he should get what he deserves." With today's PC everyone is scared to say what they feel, and that is just plain un-American.
