How do you view the video's with the most views on youtube?

I go to the "Most Viewed" tab under the "Videos" tab on the home page and then I click of "All Time" but still those are not the MOST VIEWED VIDEOS OF ALL TIME!!!! I mean the number one on the list (in order of most to least) only has 8 million views!? Evolution of Dance has 112 million and it's not even on there, what the fuck!? In my opinion most viewed makes certain areas of YouTUbe useless, because it simply favours certain types of video and reduces the variety shown.

For instance you mentioned the Obama videos in the build up to the US election, fine they were the most viewed, but they made the politics category on the videos page useless as they completely dominated it, an algorithm that gave a more varied selection of political videos would of been better for anyone interested in more than simply the US election

I dont think it was that big of a deal, What is a danger is that youtube has stated that they will demote any video that is improper. Say example one of Athenewins video gets 40,000 views, because the video might of a had curse word in it or some cleavage, youtube can demote it and say the video only got 30,000...20,000....or as low as they want to lower it. I think that is real danger, when people on most viewed arent actually most viewed.

Frankly, the 'most viewed' videos are often really stupid videos, because they're not being filtered based on whether people like them or not. Instead, they're giving the most weight to videos with funny names, or that already have lots of subscribers, or whatever other reason people click on them in the first place. Making the front page a combination of views and ratings would be a much better system for finding actual high-quality videos.
