Have you seen the petition against poisoning eagles in Ireland, on The Golden Eagle Trust website? Sea-eagles were reintroduced to Scotland after centuries of persecution eradicated them there. They are being poisoned again in Scotland (law-suit in progress, I believe). Eagles of both sorts reintroduced from Norway and Scotland are being poisoned in Ireland. Help to change this barbaric way of thinking: please sign the petition and spread the word. Thanks - on behalf of these magnificent birds.
lol! where do you want me to start... falconry has been around for atleast 4000 years, thanks to falconry we still have wild birds of prey in Britain and thank to falconry you pay less tax as planes crash/loose engines less. A horse is ment to run free - yet we sit on their back, breed them OUR petty standards and turn them into our devices! Falconry takes bird out of the wild, and they are effectivly still part of the cian except they just trust a human enough to co-operate!
it not chained, its tethered. Chains would hurt the eagle if it bated - bring it up short too fast. The leather and rope reduce this. An quick illustration of falconry.
A falcon was born to fly free, not be restrained to an upright log. Look at him. He's lost what it means to be free. It's evil and wrong I hate the way people do that.
