lol I was wondering why you kept saying beta good review, my daughter wants me to build her a cheap gaming rig and I saw this one was only $39 and had a good amount of features. I might pick one up next week to get her pc started.
@geekyloopholesfinder What cards are you going to put there? If you tell me the length of the cards, I can measure if they will fit? By the way, It's a really good case for the money.. Highly recommend it if you're on budget! the 120mm fan that comes with the case is very quiet too.
You should definitely not apologize for reviewing the low end stuff. In fact I'd like to see more of that. 99% of the internet information you get on computers is for high end gamers, who are only a few percent of the market at best. In fact I think I read somewhere recently that nearly 90% of all new rigs have integrated graphics - no video card at all!
The audience is out there, but nobody seems to want to cater to them.
awesome review as always :) i rember buying a £30 case three years ago and it was nothing compared to this no cable routing holes no powder coating on the inside aswell and only had 80mm fans on back just shows how much cases have changed in the last few years. keep up the good work :)
@TimeToLiveCustoms Haha, Harry Hill is a LEGEND. btw NZXT Source 210 White, from CCL for under 40quid delivered. £40 for a white chassis sounds reasonable to me?
I think that it is quite nice case but really could be better in this price. If only it had dust filters (in the front, on the top and bottom), bigger cut-out on backplate and two fans included it would be great but without it it's only another cheap case from China manufactory. It's my opinion only ;)
I've seen worse cases for a higher price. Not something I would buy for myself. Like you said Tom, maybe for a mate that wants me to build him a Facetube PC.
At last a budget case without fans! The other case manufacturers should copy that. I mean there's no point putting in crappy fans and making the cases price higher. If you build your own rig you usually do have at least 2 fans lying around, or you buy some that you really want to use. Big thumbs up from me for Bit Fenix, for no fans included.
@Nagby3 Thats true, but I dont think it will affect that much if you have a single card in the case, then the card will almost be in the middle of the case, if u go for Dual cards it might be more of a problem cuz the one of the cards will be closer to the top fans.
But OutLaw is an budget case, and will go for around 65$(USD), so if someone is going for SLI or CF they should spend more money on the case. But point taken.
I dont understand why in a budget case needing to put afternarket coolers and big graphic cards is even mentioned. There is something wrong with putting that king of hardware in such a case
@bradscarfe1983 Room for expansion. The NHD-14 and 6990 are simply in that rig to prove they fit.
By the way, both will fit in the Coolermaster HAF 912, which I would directly compare to the Bitfenix Merc as being a budget case that can fit top shelf parts.
@Limitbreak07 totally my opinion, i got the AeroCool RS-9, its very low budged with around 50 bucks or less, it supports 6x120mm or 4x120mm and 2x140mm and the airflow is phenomenal, never gets hot in there :)
Gotta be the only case with cable management like that for so cheap. Very good for the price obviously as mentioned double video card setups with lots of hard drive would be an issue but if someone can afford that... they can obviously afford a higher end case haha This is perfect for a budget build.
got the end :D. I agree w your review tom, I own a computer store and i can't tell you how many younge lads want a mix of budget components and high performance. this case is a good option for those buyers. will start bringing these cases in my shop :D nice review, good work.
Any chance you'll be taking a look at the Silverstone TJ08-E in the upcoming weeks? Haven't gotten any full reviews of it on Youtube yet. Would be nice to see a proper review on the good and bad, and possibly see about fitting a 240mm radiator up in the front, or a NH-D14 in there without the harddrive rack to see the performance of the 180mm AP fan.
could h70 fit in this ?

This case puts the Thermaltake V3 Black Edition to shame. It would have been perfect if they were to replace the side panel mesh with acrylic window.

Nagby3 5 months ago
I hope you could do a Review of BitFenix OutLaw, the cool thing about that case is that they have rotated the mb 180°.
jgu0101 5 months ago
@jgu0101 what is cool about 180° mobo? this way the GPU get more dust and suck air at top isn't the best
Nagby3 5 months ago
@Nagby3 You suck in air from the sides/bottom of the case and blow it out in the top. So dust can't fall down from the top-
jgu0101 5 months ago
@jgu0101 but GPU will suck air from top if it is upside down
and if you put exhaust at top of this case there will be a very low air pressure betwen top of the case and GPU
and less air heat faster than lot of air
Nagby3 5 months ago
@Nagby3 Thats true, but I dont think it will affect that much if you have a single card in the case, then the card will almost be in the middle of the case, if u go for Dual cards it might be more of a problem cuz the one of the cards will be closer to the top fans.
But OutLaw is an budget case, and will go for around 65$(USD), so if someone is going for SLI or CF they should spend more money on the case. But point taken.
jgu0101 5 months ago
@jgu0101 i think the outlaw is a good case but i don't understand why they turned the motherboard
they said that was to fit big GPU in 5.25" but as you said you wouldn't buy this kind of case for CFX/SLI or over 200$ GPU
and i myself have a 60€ case (NZXT M59)
