That's got the same wheels as my old Cavalier 16. LX. I wonder why they removed the better looking wheels for the SRi and replaced it with them? (unless it came with them...which I doubt)

I think this should be shown by the police to young drivers as there are 4 or 5 points where a different decision would have reduced the chance of a crash. I think it was idiotic but what's done is done and I'm just glad no-one was hurt. If you want to push the limits and possibly kill yourself, fair enough. Pity the poors sods you take with you.

He lost control whilst gunning it in the outside lane of a dual carriageway on the way to work and stoved it into the crash barrier, (the resulting "V" in the barrier was there for about 10 years after). Glad you all made it out alive, that was one hell of an off.

I think his tyers were bald because it didnt seem that fast (looked about 60-70 mph) My corsa 1.2 sxi would have devowered that corner at that speed, but id have used more of the road to get a better line!

70-80mph maybe?! The road was pretty dry but it was quite a cold day. The Mitsubishi going the other way didn't help - prevented him taking racing line thru bend. (Not that im recommending using the roads like a race track)

I used to own a 1987 Cavalier 130 in Helios Blue. I found the handling wallowy and understeery even from new!
Great engine though as it had low down grunt as opposed to the Astra GTE's 16 valve's top end power delivery.
Those occupants were very lucky to have got out. Maybe they should have slowed down a tad....leave racing for the race track.

and yes i have driven one, i have driven plenty of them, they are not fast, they might feel a bit fast, but that's only because its got a shite chassis and cant handle the petrol strimmer engine that's fitted to it, you utter council spec fail.

70-80mph maybe?! The road was pretty dry but it was quite a cold day. The Mitsubishi going the other way didn't help - prevented him taking racing line thru bend. (Not that im recommending using the roads like a race track)
