@radangel100 I would be fine about the whole thing if they used their money. But the whole point is they didn't. These trips were paid by us tax payers. This is not about race. It's about common sense during a downturn in the economy.

@sonnstarr I agree , they should be setting an example by being frugal w/ the economy the way it is. When G. W. Bush went on vacation he went to his ranch in Texas most of the time....that wouldn't have got much yet the Liberals attacked him vehemently whenever he took a break (and he worked while at his ranch so it really wasn't much of a vacation to begin with). You don't see the Liberals saying much of anything about Obama.....most are silent....funny how that works when it's one of their own

Sonnstarr with all due respect I value your point of view I just do not think it is fair. This family is under this scrutiny as no other first family has been for no other reason than they are black. Mrs Obama doesn’t look like Aunt Jemima, no she is fly, but Jackie O was the rage. In past administrations the first family has traveled the world and it was goodwill. Would you have the same issue if they where white??? .

The Obamas have their own money, in there own right, The president is from Hawaii, he can take his family to where he is from If he likes and any where he wants to go. Mrs. Obama can shop where she wants and wear what she like. She is always wonderful representative of this country

The vacations the clothing the dinners have all been on us tax payers during the worst economic downturn in this nation in decades. Plus using multiple Air force jets to take them on this trips is obscene. And don't forget the Spain Vacation, Vail Co, Martha's Vineyard and on and on. The cost? 10 million dollars!!!!

Hummm when the entire 8 member Palin family was under a microscope for being lent clothing to wear on the campaign trail because they had such short notice, Michelle got her evil friends on the view to set her up good. She showed up in some rag and when they complimented her she said..."Oh this? I dont pay big for my clothes. It was only $39.00" Yeah of her OWN money. Whens she got hold of OUR money she paid mega thousands for her clothes. Not that the looked any better. So sick of her BS.
