There's a HUGE difference between pop and pop-rock. Pop is shit. Pop-rock is good. Pop-rock is just indie rock with more upbeat riffs really. Typically more likely to contain keyboards as well. Pop is people who can't sing singing songs they didn't write and having the computer fix all their flaws.
