So nostalgic looking back on 96. I really fear for the game of hurling though, if kilkenny keep dominating at all levels as they are at the moment its hard to see a bright future for everyone else as the game is slowly declining anyway. I really hope im wrong though and one day in my lifetime i can witness wexford lifting that cup once again. As the song goes; the purple and gold is the dream i still hold!

i'm a waterford man and was at the 96 final.....was standn beside an old wexford man on the hill and before the match,he said if Wexford won,he would eat a bit of the pitch.......come the final whistle,there he was eating the pitch.......hon the blaa's and yellowbellies!!

Ive tried to look for this song everywhere, it reminds me of when i went to wexford with my Grandad who is a prould wexford man. He has this song on tape and tells me "Arsenal cant make a song like that", nice one putting it up.
