I loove diva by mac. It's a super deep red. More cool toned than warm, which is perfect for me :D I feel that red lipsticks are warm more often. They're always just a liiittle orangey. So diva is a great cool red.

You look great in red lipstick. My all time favorite red lip products is from Stila called Fiery. Everytime I wear that I get so many compliments. I also like Moulin Rouge by MUFE if I want to go for the classic red. Ruby Woo from MAC is also on my list but ever since I found Stila's I've been faithful to that color ever since. =)

@gladitsnotme Try Moulin Rouge by Makeup Forever for a blue red. It's a classic red with blue tones and matches any skin tone. For an orangey-red try Heat Wave from Nars or even Jungle Red from Nars for a darker orangey-red.

I am sorry red lips do not make women look "classic," red lips make women look old. Putting a heavy red lip with heavy eyeshadow and blush just makes a woman look doubly old. Pick one, heavy lips or heavy eyes, not both.

Harlot is a regional thing, people with different accents say things differently

@ManaBear24 No. The "t" is pronounced at the end, in every case, no matter what region you live in. This is true for every English speaking country. It's not a big deal, and we all mispronounce things at times. However, in this case, it's not regional. (Harlot sounds like "car-lit", or something to that effect).

@sjramos123 I wouldn't have said it was regional unless it was pronounced differently where I live where due to the area's accents it's often pronounced Har-loh or Har-lot. I haven't heard it pronounced har-lit since I moved here. While perhaps it should be pronounced har-lit, it's the same as Aunt. Which should always be pronounced ANT, but due to regional accents is often pronounced Ah-nt. Someone mispronounces something once and it spreads.

I use the Bourjois Sweet Kiss 56 Rouge sur mesure (don't know how to pronounce that last bit :P ) but I really recommend you try it. It's sooo pigmented and really stays on for long. Plus the color pops really well! Totally made for a holiday red lip! :)

I don't think that there is anything wrong with red lips. You just have to be careful about what you wear with it. Make sure that your dress isn't too short or low cut. Keep the eye make up toned down. And I'm pretty positive that no one will mistake you for a harlot... lol

If I may, I'd like to recommend a couple more. I also love Snow White by NYX but would refer to it as a 'brick' red instead of a true red. My very favorite reds are by Besame' cosmetics (Red Velvet and Besame' Red are both perfect) and Julie Hewett's Noir Reds collection (Sin Noir and Femme Noir are my favorites) is just phenomenal. The latter collection smells like Roses. Best of all, the packaging for both brands is vintage and gorgeous. :) Love ya! xxoo

I love Revlon liquid lipstick in Top Tomato. Its a long wear colour and once it dries it stays on for up to 9hours. Im always worried about smudging darker and brighter colours once ive applied them, so the Revlon colour is fantastic for someone like me, lol xx

This video is right up my street, ive gotten in to red lipsticks at lot lately, my favourite so far is revlon just bitten lip stain. its a felt tip so you can be precise with it and has a conditioning balm on the other end. it stays all day.
