Probably wouldn't work so well with modern tractors - the wheels on these old tricycles make the tractor choreography work (tighter turning radius I'm guessing - truly guessing!) Anyway - looks like a lot of fun (to watch anyway - I'd likely take my partner out and a couple of the others...hahaha!

This was great! I wanted to take my grandpop to the farm show this year, since he is a square dancer and I was a 4-Her and participated at the farm show for 10 years in the Livestock division. So I thought this would be a great chance to visit the Farm Show again.

Unfortunally, the Tractor Square Dancing was on a Friday, and I didn't want to skip a day of college =(

Nebraska that use all farmall tractors. The Farmall Promenade they call it.

They use (H) models for the men & (C) models

for the ladies,however the ladies are men

Did you notice how all the tractors are tricycle front? Can't make those sharp tuns as easily with a wide front. And they do this without power steering, or brakes.

I wonder just how many hours of practice they needed to be able to do this so perfectly.

Who says these fine folks don't like to dance as well. Square dancing is down home, traditional dancing, accepted around the country as pretty much the only "country" style of dancing. Some one just got the idea to add SD manuvers to tractors and here we are. Not a bad adaptation and combination. Plus this is yet another chance for them to play with their toys.
