In fact, years ago, many teams claimed NC's after losing there bowl games. Tennesse for example, who "claims" 6 NC's lost the bowl game in 3 of those. The system we have today is far from perfect, but is soo much better than what we had before.

yall did play a great game on defense. but that was the only one. the #1 defense in the big 12 is ranked 50th overall (texas). the big 12 doesnt have defense. and i personally dont think that it is because the offense is so great seeing that oklahoma put up a total of 14 points against us.

You gotta remember too, OU was averaging what 50+ pts a game. Florida was held just over 2 tds under their average. Oklahoma, 5 tds.  That is ridiculous! Ou;s best defensive performance by far last season was the BCS Championship game.

The Big 12 has nothing but spread offenses. they are extremely one dimensional. They cant play against the SEC defenses.

Exactly, the spread offense in the big 12 was different than the spread that florida ran. Florida runs a run option spread,balanced with some passing, Big 12 teams almost never ran the ball besides OU, Ou was still a balanced offense though. but everyone else in that conf wasn't.
