  • GENIOOOOO Y NADA MAS

  • gggggeeeeeennnnnnniiiiiiooooooooo............ y NADA MASS

  • Mother of god, is magneto!

  • "Damn the doors or die"

  • pffffffff roland.... crap! where is his vox?!?!

  • MASTER ! SENSEI ! GENIOOOOOOOO !!

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant always been a Doors fan

  • I love Keyboard

  • this man is my idol...the doors wouldnt havent gotten as far as they did with out ray..hes the reason i love to play keyboard dudes!!

  • a genius of music

  • Increíble... ese gran sonido agudo sale de un solo órgano... y parecen varios acordes de varios instrumentos que suenan a la vez.... la mejor parte es la famosa introducción al comienzo en mi menor... ¡Ray toca una maravilla!

  • That's a great sound coming out of that organ xD

  • HAPPY BDAY RAY!!!!!

  • great BONTEMPI!

  • why did you not play the original instruments ? they had the better sounds 1

  • Ray would have been a decent bar organist without Jim's words, and Jim would have been an unknown little drunken poet without Ray, John and Robbie. So The Doors were them all, not only Jim. Densmore is the only surviving Doors who has always known that. That's why John denies to be part of 21's century/Riders on the storm.

  • Hm, sounds like a children birthday party.

A clown in the front of his organ....

    There's no sound no magic.

For me it seems to be a bad "soldout"...

Sorry, but this is neither the Doors or Ray Manzarek.

  • El mejor <3

  • HI! THIS IS MONTGOMERY SHRAPP! HAVE A LOOK ON OUR SONG "JIM" (DEDICATED TO JIM MORRISON&THE DOORS)!

  • Ray basically discovered Jim and encouraged him to make records. If Jim's biography is anything to go on. Ray was the heart of the Doors and had talent to burn. Jim was a genuine rock star/shaman/poet. Ray was a pure musician of the highest regard.

  • LOLROLAND

  • He PLAYS SO FAST, i am learning this song and I can barely play teh intro at 80bpms woooooooowwww. My favorite composer

  • @jamescolincampbell he's the one who wrote the song. sigh.

  • @jamescolincampbell You play at 80 beats per millisecond? Jesus... :D

  • good

  • Ray is a genius!!!!

  • Ray Manzarek mostrou ao mundo que nem só de solos de guitarra vive o rock!! O solo de teclado nessa grande música do The Doors marcou muitas gerações!! Fantástico video!!!! Five Stars!!!!

  • Charly Oleg representz

  • sounds like LIGHT MY FIRE...... meets THE GHOST AND MR. CHICKEN

  • Haha...

  • this sound sucks

  • Thanks for composing Light my Fire and other masterpieces, Mr. Ray. A bow for you.

  • @kylebridge1 Krieger wrote this song

  • @roylett Well your part right. Robby came up with first verse. The second verse was ALL Jim Morrison. Then Ray and John added stuff. Like very other song. It is the doors that made it what it was. Just like when they used Jims songs. They took his great words and made it into song. As Ray once said they were all one side of a 4 side diamond. Together they made the diamond. Apart the magic was gone

  • he's probably thinking "damn i want my vox."

  • Trust Manzarek to bring sexy 1960 back =)

  • it,s polish rooots ,thaks for it....xD

  • That ROCKS Ray!!!

  • LOL ? XD

  • You need to tell us who is Bill Loyer. I am convinced without a shadow of a doubt that it is Jim Morrison formerly of the DOORS. People have been begging for an answer but the DOORS totally avoid it. I have a dream that Ray, Robbie and John will end up in prison.

  • I love how he goes manic at the end.

  • i think he hated this roland...

like he said, as played at a roller rink... lol

it sounds horrible, but rays kickass.

  • I wonder if Ray ever gets sick of playing this song.

  • this roland sounds crap compared with the original Vox

  • @boliboy2299 Actually the Yamaha Keyboard is the very best. Yamaha Motif line Rules.

  • I haven't seen them, I was running around when they were shown.

  • How was his movies?

  • The "skating rink" line is hilarious. In "the old days", roller rinks often had an organist playing....much like the organists that used to play at hockey games and baseball games. If you catch the "Buddy Holly Story" with Gary Busey, one of the opening scenes is when the Crickets take over from the organist at a skating rink. A good insight into the world of the late 50's.

  • what did he say at 0:15?

  • "like played at a skating rink"

  • i think he says "as played at a skating rink". I dunno why, but it sounds like that

  • sick but he needs his vox man

  • Ray is awesome, but why on Earth did they give him this peice of crapola? Ok, so maybe he didn't have his Vox on him, but they must have something better sounding. Like a G101, Ray used that in concert with the Doors. But still, he proves that u can't be to old to rock!

  • master master master

  • This should convince anyone playing 60's & 70's rock to look elsewhere and not the VK-7.

  • if I was him, I wouldn't play that on anything but a vintage Vox like the one he used...

  • yeah, you'd think he would have brought his along if he knew he was going to play

though maybe he didn't know he was going to

  • ray uR good but

c´mon U wiill never be like morrison U play the piano AMAZING but jim morrison is the best singer on the world..

Than U ray for form the doors with morrison WE LOVE U..GOOD LUCK

  • ray is one of the best keyboard players in the whole rock and roll history.(maybe the best)

  • Grandissimoooooooooo!!

  • true skills right there! ray you are my idol!

  • U RULE MANZAREK! GRANDE!

  • the organ is so flippin bad , i cant beleve the shitty sound.

  • That crappy organ sound doesnt do him justice

  • agreed...=/

  • yuuuuup, u can totally tell the diffrence between analog and digital............

  • ABU, TE QUIEROO!!

  • Ray you're my idol !!!!

    GREAT RAY !!!

    GREAT DOORS !!!

  • Ray is the man and he still has it. I've seen him live 5 times and one time I was only about 10 feet from him. He was amazing!

  • Hes fucking crazy good... and he has the coolest fucking voice ever!!!

  • hadrienboye you have to understand though that Ray Manzarek is turning 70 years old come february. you have to admit that it is pretty cool for someone his age to still be rocking out like that. this man is a true legend.

  • I LOVE RAY MANZAREK!!!!!!!!!!This is vintage music, it does not sound bad or off tune.Appreciate the music or don't leave a comment! And yes, I think everyone misses Jim.This is amazing.Ray has such a friendly personality, and I love him!!

  • I love Ray Manzarek!!!And enough because this does not 'suck' or it's not 'crap'.Appreciate the music or don't leave a comment!Ray has such an amazingly friendly personality and thats why I love him!!!And yes, I think everyone misses Jim.Ray is so talented and this sounds as good as when he was young!

  • I love Ray Manzarek! And enough because this is not 'crap'. This is music and if you can't appreciate than don't leave a comment!Ray has such an amazingly friendly personality and that's why I love him!!!Many decades but he is still very talented as when he was young.

Love to Ray and The Doors.

  • The real genius the doors

  • I think he misses Jim, after all these years.

    This sucks, man.

  • who wouldnt miss him?

  • I love that he does shows like this. But i still can't help but feel sad cos it's been so long since the doors were whole.

That's gotta be saddening to him. It's been 40 years and in this one he's doing a solo version of light my fire

    ='(

  • the organ sounds like crap... and clearly, Ray is not a the top. sad.

  • What a pure shit !! Ray plays well but the sampling of the keyboard is horrible !! Should have used vintage stuff...

  • I wish Ray taught my Music Appreciation class.

  • GREAT RAY !!!!!!!!

  • I think its cool that he's still performing.

  • What a shit....Megio quando suonava il farfisa....

  • suca troiona

  • Era un Vox Continental prima, e dopo un Gibson G101. Non ha mai suonato Farfisa :-)

  • My guess he was high on 4 tickets when playing this

  • actually from reading his book tickets weren't really his thing. he was mainly a blotter and mescaline man. :)

  • what are tickets bro? i love my tabs and micro dots but ive never heard of tickets... sounds like it would fuck u up..?

  • Tabs of acid ahah...

  • LSD, Bro ;)

  • Wow, they need him at L.A. Dodger games. Maybe Ray can pump up the team so they can start winning again.

  • Maestro en los teclados, increible solamente.......

  • i feel like ray was forced to do this -- it has kind of a dignity-killing state fair ambience, although he still pulls it off.

  • but ist not the original notes he improovised

  • Ray came up with the idea of forming the Doors.

  • actualy it was both jim and ray smart one

  • He needs to smoke a doo bee

  • wow.

doo bee, i believe its doobe but still it makes me laugh that you call it that

  • masterr

  • What a pity that Ray doesn`t use his old Vox Continental organ in concerts any more. Its sound was unbeatable.

  • Yeah, that's really a pitty - I don't like the sound of these new keyboards!!!! The Vox was great!

  • he not only used Vox continental but also Gibson g130 that was very similar to farfisa compact

and the bass was fender keyboard bass module

  • your right

  • He is still the best!

  • what a groovy old man :P

  • lol, indeed

  • I like Ray Manzarek really, but this version of "Light my Fire" really sounds like crap!! the organ is unthinkable horrible!!! oh my goodness!

  • WONDERFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at my version of Light My Fire! Search for "antoniodoors" and comment!!!!!! THANKS!!!

  • He really needs a Vox Continental patch on that keyboard!

  • amazing video, thanx for sharing!

  • Oh my godness!!! i love Ray manzarek more than Jim that's the truee!!! incredible video brother thanks for sharing !! wuuu i love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i hope he lives five years more so i can se him im just 14 but i love the doors they are the part of my life

  • The organ he plays now the Alesis has a decent continental sample. He doesn't like using then vintage gear because it's unreliable. Ray is the man no matter what organ he's using.

  • I prefer the vintage sound to his current presets!!! I don't know, I think these samples (as here) are awful. I've been at the "Lovely Days" Festival in austria where Riders On The Storm played and he applied some crappy organ presets like this here! :( it's disappointing, but people just change, so did he.

  • dude, i know, CONTINENTAL makes that song

  • what happened to his continental

  • He stated over many interviews that all his organs eventually broke down, especially since the keys sticked down after much use.

  • Repairable. Deep Purple have been using the same Hammond for 40 years and they tour more than probably ANY band.

  • You guys are all partially wrong. Ray wrote the intro. Jim Morrison wrote "Girl we Couldn't get much higher." And Robby Krieger wrote basically everything.

  • You're wrong buddy, I have the book on the doors. Robby Krieger wrote "Girl we couldn't get much higher" and the chorus.

Jim wrote The time to hesitate is through no time to wallow in the myre try now we can only lose and our love will become a funeral pyre.

  • My mistake, it was Jim that wrote "and our love become a funeral pyre." Nothing more, nothing less, look it up here on youtube Ray even says it.

  • Hats off... now you know why this song will always be a classic. That organ arrangement is still traveling the whole world. Thanks Ray, we hope you well!!!!

  • Ray did not write light my fire he came up with the organ and stuff Robbie Krigger wrote the lyrics

  • ray wrote light my fire, retards.

    and this sounds fucking awesome.

  • robbie kriegger did

  • yorknerd, you're wrong

  • embarrassing.

  • Fucking amazing.

  • jesus that sucks........i want jim back

  • ray was the one who played the key board part

  • I can't believe how he gets that terrible sound out of one of the best hammond clones, the VK-7. Is he trying to duplicate his old Vox or Farfisa perhaps?

  • Absolutely right about that. This rendition sounds mighty shiite. What an an embarassment, such koek.

  • I miss the rodes and the original sound,

  • Yeah I agree with you johnny it's still the same with him, this man is amazing :-D !!!

  • That was fucking intense!!! Ray is the man!!!

  • tha'ts horrible asnd the sound of the organ is ridiculous

  • Nice to see him doing the left hand bass line. Wish he'd had the piano bass. Ray is the man!

  • Tank you for post

  • good document

  • haha who needs jim singing, i can listen to this all day

  • i need jim singing.

  • jim wouldnt be famous if it wasnt for this man, some people need to understand that

  • @outsider2526

Sorry, I feel ray sold the band out, even to this day he tries to ride on Jim's tail. Thats why he talked Robbie into using The Doors name with him, and John Densmore sided and stuck with Jim's and pam's family in their lawsuit against Ray and Robbie.

  • @outsider2526 thats not true, jim had an amazing voice, and even if he wasent singing he was also a poet and a director!

  • @untilweburninthesun Yeah, but from what I've seen Jim didn't think he had a good voice, and it was Rays idea to get a band together. At least that's what Ray has said.

  • @outsider2526 ur soo right lol

im a huge doors fan :)

we the youngs r keepin his music alive

  • @outsider2526 absolutely--I think Morrison knew this.

  • cool
