  • I heard that this wasn't even your event. That's why you can't hear the male voice speaking. You covered the real owners voice with the music. Shame.

  • was this at cypress high ?? lol in california

  • do you still have the same gear

  • was there>

  • Nice Gig log bro...but watch that unedited music and maybe seperate your lights and your music to different circuits......5 STARS

  • A lot of us older DJ's try to remember to advise some a bit newer to the business on things we learned a long, long time ago, but sometimes we forget, as so much becomes second nature, and we just don't think about it. What you need to do, is make sure you run your lights on a separate circuit always. That's what all of us running lights are doing, and in some cases, we may be running sound on one breaker, lights on another breaker, and a fogger on a 3rd breaker if we can find it.

  • (cont) The school's wiring is not bad, it's completely normal. Schools do not have 50 amp breakers commonly around the gym for you to pull from. Generally, outlets on opposite sides of the room are on different breakers, and also usually outlets at the front are on different breakers than the back of the room, if it's like a gym... but that's if you have to guess. Measure with multimeter, or ask where the breakers are, for someone who would know at the venue.

  • (cont2) For your size system, 2 breakers should be enough. One for the sound, and one for the lights. Another reason it is good practice to keep the circuits separate, is to isolate any electrical noise from the lights, and from switching them on and off. Then you are less likely to get any "popping" sounds when you switch lights on or off. Hope this helps :)

  • Looks like a good log!

Watch out for the unedited music, it can hurt you. Take my word on it, been there, done that. You can play a college party at a club and I would still consider going edited with some.

  • nice, the breaker tripping sucks!

  • oooopppsss Gotta split up your power, Good gig tho.

  • you can still keep running those 2 lights together, just on their own circuit. They will draw about 11amps of power. on a standard 15amp circuit you will have a bit of headroom.

  • I am not sure why someone gave you a thumbs down, you are dead on right. I gave you a thumbs up to even it out :)

  • nice gig bro and i had that happened to me before and i thought it was the wiring or something but then i found out that it was those lights so i dont have them together i have them in a chase mode10 min each and that seems to work preety good

  • good video

  • omg schools don't blow circuits - DJ's running 2 x 600 watt aggressor lights blow circuits!

  • Yes it blew! From my lights yes! I'm looking into some other options so this don't happen again...

  • you can still use them, try a blinker.light chaser

  • did you get yelled at for playing the NI**** lyrics in that song? did you not know it was the bad version?

  • To be honest with you here.. NO! I did not know... But get this okay the teachers was dancing so I guess they did not mind and I'm booked for many other gigs there... I downloaded the clean verison I thought? I should of checked it better...
