do you have a pedal that auto-tunes down? sounds like you're getting two different tones that are in different keys--one from the actual sound of your strings getting hit and the other from the amp.

micstew....that pinging is actually a harmonizer pedal he's using. my guess is the boss super set on 2 octaves higher. The pedal actually worsens the sound.....turn it off...play it natural.....

Alot of ppl ask why I was tuned down a 1/2 step during this video..At the time I was playing for an SRV tribute band so I just kept my guitars tuned down a 1/2 step..And to answer any more questions about my hands shaking..I was extremely sick at the time and the Meds I was on at the time cause the trembling...
