'Wonderful Tonight' is -to me- the song which best shows Clapton's deeply romantic side : the tender, soft, romantic man, behind the defiant drug user, the 'stiff-upper lip', 'true Bri't Clapton...

His voice here is superbly mellow (yet- NOT cheesy). He's become the mature man of 'Believe in Life' (his own 'favourite song', as he himself says, when asked about his work of the last few years).

At around 4 minutes, the keyboardist plays a sax sound while blowing into a tube ... can someone tell me what that is ... how does that work? Lovely sound ... so I'm curious ...

I saw one working and, as far as the guy told me, it's like a blowing instrument that uses the keyboard effects. The main reason for having such a device is that you can play with the intensity of blowing and have almost sax identical sound.

The one I saw was a bit thicker than this one and looked just like a garden hose :).

The instrument is a regular keyboard. The sound is an effect produced by a device called a breath controller which is an attachment that can work with most non-wind instruments (if applied correctly) but is specialized to work with the keyboard.

Sancious' use of the BC in sync with the modulator is very impressive and the best I've heard from anyone. His feeling in this solo is impeccable, a pleasure to watch and listen to. Great muso
