@awesome9001 The physics, to put it frank, are unrealistic. Sonic can stand on walls at times and after running at maximum speed, Sonic comes to a complete halt. There are a lot of other physics problems but it's a matter of getting used to them and if you're new to the franchise you'll probably have some fun with the game. Long time fans like me, however, see it as a dissapointment as the original Sonic games felt so natural and fun.
@awesome9001 Well, in the Genesis games, Sonic felt like a living pinball. In Sonic 4, he feels heavier, and doesn't have true momentum. Once you get used to it, it's fine, but it'll definitely feel funky the first time you play it.
That said, i've been having a lot of fun with that game, especially with trying to get fast times and the highest scores. Splash Hill Zone is by far the best zone in Sonic 4. I think you'll enjoy it if you pick it up, just be ready for the funkiness.

I would have prefered a Classic model but in all honesty I couldn't give 2 craps about what character design is used. In Sonic 4, however, the graphics really are bad. Well, the art style is, anyway. It's bland, repetitive and everything looks like plastic. Sure, it may look "nice" at a first glance but it get's old very quickly and that shouldn't happen, especially in a Sonic game.

What i learned from such projects: a) they cant make a game out of a wet paperbag b) if they just plaster new grafix over it, it looks mediocre c) SEGA will pull their plug when they finished it and d) there is Sonic Generations

I would have prefered a Classic model but in all honesty I couldn't give 2 craps about what character design is used. In Sonic 4, however, the graphics really are bad. Well, the art style is, anyway. It's bland, repetitive and everything looks like plastic. Sure, it may look "nice" at a first glance but it get's old very quickly and that shouldn't happen, especially in a Sonic game.
