This song is friggin awesome. Great groove, the most soulful vocal track Sly ever did, 'cept maybe "in Time". Goosebumps every single time, no joke. --1:36-- 1:54 2;39 "i don't blive 'em" Good God, he was awesome.
yeah roscoegino...my dad told me when i was growing up that Sly puts on the best concert you'll ever see.."when he would show up". Plus I hear thats why Larry Graham left the Family Stone..He was tired of putting up with Sly's lack of professionalism...(being high all the time)
time needs to be a little longer..time the universe needs to be a little stronger. Even tho sly was "stoned" half the time, he like my man Stevie Wonder had some serious lyrics to his songs. Thanks for sharing. Another favorite is "IN TIME" from the FRESH album.
"In Time" off the Fresh is my s==t! According to a biography, Sly wasted mad money in studio time because he was high all the time! They'd spend hours recording a single organ riff.
Drum Machine that 35 years ahead of it's time!!!

drugs.... i know it was Sly's choice- but i f feel pain from this song- that era was brutal - the social status was horrible.... :(

they both used the maestro rhythm king for drums. but yeah, shuggie and sly should've jammed together.

I saw a documentary on Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album-they recorded it at the Record Plant in Sausalito--Sly had a bedroom there!

One of my favorite Sly tunes. It gives me chills everytime I listen to it.
"Tiimmmeee, they say is the answer...But I don't believe'em!" Goosebumps man.
