  • they wouldn't pass that by me without loosing a man they dont even have the right to be called police or peace keepers and you dont hear about this without looking for it specifically

  • Fortunately, Michigan (my home state) now has a law that explicitly forbids the confiscation of firearms in times of national disaster.

Never forget that Big Goverment will always attempt to expand at the expense of YOUR civil rights. Never, ever trust the government to defend your God-given, Constitutionally-enumerated rights. Government is most often the problem, not the solution to your problems, and the First and Second Amendments to the Constitution are there for a reason.

  • I dont trust the police in a time of crisis!

  • The mayor of New Orleans and Police Chief during Hurricane Katrina are criminals and should be in prison!

  • @trime1851 I agree...but first they be publicly flogged, tarred and feathered and be made to apologize personally to everyone that had guns confiscated.

  • Passing laws to make sure it doesn't happen again is good and all, but I want to see all local governing officials who are responsible for allowing this to be tried and imprisoned!

  • Making law changes to make sure it doesn't happen again is not good enough, I want to see whoever was responsible tried and imprisoned for this!

  • What part of "shall not be infringed" does the government not understand?

  • is this the whole thing or is there somewhere that i can watch the whole thing, but come on seriously don't let the cops take your guns shoot them if they try

  • 2:25 why do I get the idea that you have to prove to the police 5 different ways what guns you had before they give it back to you (receipts and serial numbers).

Not every gun purchase has a receipt and even if there were, I doubt that 1/2 of the receipts would be found after such a devastating flood and it's destructive aftermath.

Many guns were destroyed, by police, on the spot, at gun point, without a receipt. How do police give back a gun they've destroyed?

  • I’ve always wondered what became of the “gun seizure” issues during that time. Thank you for the update and thank God for the NRA for stepping in so quickly when it happened. I hope to hear more updates on the ongoing law suits.

  • If the military ever knocks on my door "asking" for my firearms... Thats why I purchased slugs for my shotgun.

  • It has to be one of the things that ticks me off most! People who did prepare and were prepared to defend themselves lost that ability for no reason!

  • Thankfully, some troops refused to participate in the gun confiscations. The Oath Keepers have a series of videos here where one of the couragious national guardsmen explains how his unit gave advance notice to their superiors that they would not follow any orders to particiapate in the confiscations. Search for "OATH KEEPERS PROVE SOME TROOPS REFUSED TO CONFISCATE GUNS DURING KATRINA" or add this: watch?v=2HRZfvtYlCY to the youtube url.

  • These cops and military are criminal. Thats why we all need to form small militias to group up and protect ourselves from tyrrany.
