But I've also seen, especially at my high school and other schools the acceptance and welcoming of this new culture. Kids now a days are way more accepting than the older generations. Somali American here, i live in San Diego CA, my family has been here for about 20 years.
I consider myself lucky to live in the USA, i am proud, at the same time we are hard workers, the somalis here own a big mall, and my family has a store in it.
my parents bought me my first car a 91 camry in 2004 in highschool, by senior year in 2006 i had a brand new nissan. Nothing is free, we use credit and finance just like everyone else.

@westchesterny oh, the poem is on the statute of liberty despite her families generational use of Slaves, and record of abuse of them, (whatever that means, as just being one would be abusive.) Emma's dad was called down by the Office of Negro Labor management, which is what it was called then. Whoever made this doc should have known not to use it---- very funny in a sad way. Again, don't use words of known slave abusers as something good in a movie about race.

IF THEY WANT TO LIVE HERE THEY SHOULD WORK FOR IT NOT GET A FREE RIDE. If it wasn't for my tax money their life would still be their shitty past in Somalia. So they need to show a little respect for the United States and it's citizens. Also they complain alot about the violence in Lewiston. Well a lot of that is because of them. They start fights with people of other ethnicities and when the police show up get away with it because they always pull the race card.

According to #6 on the list, we allowed city leaders to use our taxpayer funding towards a cause that no-one in their right mind would concider to be sound investment for the future prosperty of the city. Therefore the city leaders should be held accountable to the citizens (who in my opinion should be viewed as equivalent shareholders of the city). I for one am looking forward to ditching my residence here ASAP Ive had enough of Maine. I bet the leaders of Lewiston dont have a recovery plan.
